The Crucifix Killer by Chris Carter.
The book is an American thriller based on the murders of a serial killer. I love the insight the author gives to the different police units in Los Angeles and how it teases with the reader into who the killer may be. A great read so far. Has anyone read this book? Don't tell me what happens

Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada: A fictional book, based on a true story, describing the life in Germany under the Third Reich.
Fallada introduces the reader to a world where fear and terror rule and the dread of being snitched upon is on everyone’s mind. Also - I love Frankenstein too! So much symbolism and layers to unravel. I found it fascinating and have read it multiple times now. I agree, it's a shame that the story has become so distorted. I've just finished Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks - really interesting although I couldn't read big chunks of it in one go. |

Last night I started Torn by Jacqueline Druga, came across it on Amazon and thought it looked good.
It's an end of the world story, only read about 10% but really good so far. |

I'm reading Do No Harm by Carol Topolski. It's very unusual, exploring the murky extremes of human psychology.

I don't get what all the hype with 50 Shades Of Grey is, thugs and chavs in my school year are actually asking people if they can borrow it even though they would never usually touch a book, its absolutly pathetic, just because its basically porn in paper form.

I just finished Mockingjay, I agree the first book was best but I enjoyed the 3 of them. Not sure what to read next, I have a few lined up on Kindle.

Finished book 2 of the Rainwild Chronicles and having read it so quickly want to save reading book 3 for while.
Downloaded Les Miserables to my Kindle. However finding it very hard going, cannot get into at all. Maybe it's just me as all the reviews I've read are glowing! Is it worth continuing? Might give it one more try tonight, it's certainly helping me fall asleep.... Feeling a bit disappointed in myself that I cannot get into this so called classic novel! Alternatively might just give into temptation and download A Song of Ice & Fire so I can continue my re-read of that series on the Kindle. |

Going Postal - Pratchett. I'm miles behind on my Discworld at the moment.
A 2nd attempt having stopped commuting on the train I put it down. Spent a good part of last weekend reading from the start whilst watching part 1 of it on Sky. |
