I'd be interested to hear what you think of that when you've read it.
I've got it on my library reservation list.Quote:
yes I would be interested in that as well, have enjoyed the Ruth Galloway series so much
I am reading the 2nd in the Katie Macquire series by Graham Masterton now. I need to find a bubblegum chit lit book after this for a change of pace ![]() I am now reading Be Careful What You Wish For by Jeffrey Archer - the 4th book in the Clifton Chronicles series. |

I have finished The ZIg Zag Girl - I didn't enjoy it as much as the Ruth Galloway series and rated it a generous 7/10 due to the twist at the end. I felt it was too far-fetched and I didn't take to the characters very well. I like the wit and little quirks in the characters in the Ruth Galloway series. I hope she's beavering away writing another in that series!
I am now reading Be Careful What You Wish For by Jeffrey Archer - the 4th book in the Clifton Chronicles series. If anyone else is thinking of giving the Ruth Galloway series a try, I would definitely recommend reading them in the correct order. I don't normally bother, but this author refers to previous events a lot, so it's worth taking the trouble. Meanwhile, upstairs... (I have an upstairs book and a downstairs book!) I'm getting towards the business end of 'The Sandman' by Lars Keplar. His sparse style of prose is never going to be my favourite, but I'm still quite gripped by the story and I can feel a big dramatic finale brewing up! |

Full Dark House by Christopher Fowler
Book no1 in the Bryant and May series, I've read a couple of the later ones in the series and enjoyed them so time to see where the story started |

Been working my way through Iain M Banks books and I'm currently reading Matter. There have been some brilliant Culture ship names but I think I've just found my favourite "Pure Big Mad Boat Man"

I'm listening to Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene, narrated by Jeremy Northam.
Written in 1958, shortly before Castro came to power, Jim Wormald is a fairly unsuccessful vacuum cleaner salesman based in Havana. He is the single parent of a 16 year old daughter with expensive tastes. A solution to his financial problems may be in sight when he is recruited by MI6. I read this years ago, the plot is familiar, but I don't really remember what happens. Good narration, but very annoying samba music between each chapter. I'm reading The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths (Ruth Galloway book 2). I agree with other posters that this is a very readable series with likable characters. I'm going to try not to binge on all the books in one go, as it's nice to have reliable reads to fall back on sometimes. |

First Peter James book I've read, and I am really, really, really loving it. (Especially as they are based in Brighton!) |

Respect Yourself: The Story of Stax Records. I think I have got the title right, there
![]() Came across it in my local Waterstones and thought I would like to learn the history of this record label and the artists that were on it, like Sam 'n' Dave, Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding and Booker T & The MG's (the house band and later artists in their own right) during an important time of the Civl Rights Movement in the States. |

The Husband's Secret - Liane Moriarty. I think this will be quite an easy read. It has started with a woman finding a letter from her husband which says she should only open after his death - I have only just started the book but I am quite bemused as to why she doesn't just open the damned thing - I would!
