"The Forgotten Beasts of Eld" by Patricia A. McKillip, part of Gollancz's Fantasy Masterworks series.

This was my book or reading in the Wimbledon queue though I've not managed to finish it in 3 days of queuing.

I started it this morning and had a real de ja vu moment, I'm sure I've read it before but cant remember anything about it!

I think I started it a few years ago but gave up quite early on.

Watch me - James Carol - the second book in the series (if you discount the prequel) featuring criminal profiler Jefferson Winter.

I'm currently reading 'Dream a Little Dream' by Giovanna Fletcher. Her books are so lovely and heartwarming.
After that, I'm going for a change of pace slightly, I've got 'Grey' by E.L James to read

Curtain Call, Anthony Quinn. A thriller set in the West End of London in the 30s. Really gripping - not really into thrillers but this is so well written and atmospheric. Halfway through and can't wait to get to the end, but don't want to finish at the same time.
