As today marks the 1st anniversary of the death of Sir Terry Pratchett I am reading his books again in order. Just started Reaper Man - which is quite appropriate I think!

Not far into it but yes, enjoying it so far.

Early days but I would say its better than the other two I've read (Natural Causes and The Book of Souls)

I'm working my way through Alan Furst's Night Soldiers series, currently on The Foreign Correspondent.

For anyone interested in thrillers/spy stuff, especially WW2, I'd recommend them. Ordinary or not-so-ordinary people caught up in the background machinations of the German occupation of France. If ever you wonder how you, (a clerk, a seamstress, a cleaner, or a journalist, housekeeper, manager, rich kid - whatever you are) would cope if your country was occupied by a foreign power, have a read of these. Frightening in a lot of ways, and they're so detailed.

I'm reading Grave of Hummingbirds by Jennifer Skutelsky.

A Kindle First from a few months ago, so far I'm glad that I didn't have to pay for it!

It's set in South America in the present time I think. The local doctor is called in to ascertain the cause of death when the body of a dead woman is discovered in a remote Andean village. A pair of condor's wings has been attached to the body, which is covered in tattoos. Disconcertingly for the doctor, the woman bears a strong resemblance to his dead wife.

I'm about a third of the way through and don't really know what's going on.

I'm about to start listening to Star of the Sea by Joseph O'Connor, read by Peter Marinker.

This is on the recommendation of my husband who thinks that it's brilliant. The story is set in 1847 when the Star of the Sea sets sail from Ireland on course for New York. The passengers have one thing in common, they're all fleeing Ireland for a new life in the USA.
