I've read this novel and really enjoyed it. Hope you do too. I've not seen the tv series as I usually prefer the book over the tv or movie

Probably my favourite ever book but certainly in the top 3 - there are some differences from the tv series but the book was better and more detailed.

Loved that book, I know someone just like Don!

Just started Turning Point by Freya North - I haven't read any of her books before but it was recommended by a colleague.

Blue Highways by William Least Heat Moon. Its about a journey on the back roads of America -
I read it years ago and have just found an old paperback copy. When I've finished it I'm putting it next to my other favourite American books: Earth Abides and To Kill A Mocking Bird up on my bookshelves.

Just reading all the Agatha Raisin books by MC Beaton. Absolute rubbish but I love them! Also reading Paul Theroux's Deep South in lieu of a holiday.

I'm glad to see others read more than one book at a time like me - sometimes I'm too interested in each book and impatient to start, so reading a bit of each seems best.

I also read books a few times - sometimes you glean different things from them and especially if it's a few years since you last read them, cos you've changed and can see things from different perspectives.

I'm currently reading The Quality of silence by Rosamund Lupton -a big recommend for lovers of thrillers with a strong human personal drama element rather than just pacy action.

It's ok. Wouldn't say it was one of her best Tony Hill/Carol Jordan books.

Thanks. 👍

If you like gritty tartan noir/Scottish crime fiction like Val McDermids then I recommend you check out Caro Ramsay.
