The second in the "Ashfall" trilogy, am enjoying it very much. Easy to read as its a YA novel. Contines the story of Alex and Darla as they search desperately for Alex's parents in the aftermath of the Yellowstone eruption.”

I think I'm becoming your reading stalker!

Started this book last night, been looking forward to it for months after really enjoying Ashfall.

Finished Forever is Over by Calvin Wade the other night and can't recommend it highly enough. Absolutely brilliant book and I was blubbing like a baby at the end. My only criticism is the overuse of exclamation marks, but once you get used to it the story more than makes up for that. It's only £1.53 for Kindle and at over 600 pages it's a real bargain.

Since Ive been having a good nosy on this thread for inspiration I thought I would join in!!!

Currently reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... I decided to reread the series after getting them on my Kindle. I have J K Rowlings new book downloaded to read but think I might give it a few books before I read it.

Yeah, the Corey series were so good, think his wife was his investigative partner in the FBI? Easily Nelson De Mille's most enjoyable books

..Brings back [ye olde '80's] memories of reading Sid the Sexist, etc, when yours truly and other young colleagues were supposed to be working...

I'm in the middle of reading The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce

This is the most deeply moving book I have read in a long time.

READ THIS BOOK! You won't regret it, but you will need tissues.

Finished The Golden Hour by William Nicholson. A really good book and beautifully written.

Next up on the Kindle is Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch.

Yep, indeed. Having despatched "The Lion" in his last book, Mr Corey is now after a Panther

And yes, Kate his wife is along for the ride. With the exception of "The Twelve" which is out next weekish, its the book I have been most looking forward to all year and its not letting me down.

Just finished Sally Morgan's 'My Psychic Life' and am currently reading 'Life After Death' by Sally. Even if you don't belief in psychic phenomena or mediumship, 'My Psychic Life' is, universally, an excellently informative biography to read.

Nearly finished Fifty Shames of Earl Grey, it's hilarious in a really silly way.

Years after everyone else, Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. I'm really enjoying it, and have no complaints at all about the reading experience, but so far it really IS just the same trick as Ghostwritten. Which I loved, mind you. As I say, not a problem, but unless he goes somewhere radically different with this one I'm not sure why it was more worthy of a prize than Ghostwritten.

Mind you, the only other one of his I've read is Number 9 Dream, and that seemed to take the lessons he'd learned with Ghostwritten and use them to do something different, whereas CA seems to be doing much the same. A bit unfair of me to say so while I'm only halfway through, though.

Just realised this sounds like I'm slagging it off. I'm really not- as I say, I'm loving it.

I am now reading This Child of Mine by Sinead Moriarty... I really like her books as they are usually about really serious topics but full of humour. This one is a bit darker... although I read half of it last night so it cant be that bad just a bit different!!!

The executioner by Jesse Kellerman

To be honest it's the worst of his books that I have read

I'm currently reading through Keri Arthur's Guardian series. I'm enjoying it but although the sex is central to Riley's character, it does kind of get a bit boring at times.

The Wind In The Willows
My brain's a bit foggy at the moment and in need of something easy, so I've gone for an old favourite!

I've just finished reading two books in the trilogy by Peter May........The Blackhouse and The Lewis Man. I really didn't think I'd enjoy these books reckoning that a lot of Gaelic would be used that I wouldn't understand. .

However, what a surprise and also historical education on life in the Hebrides and in particular the Isle of Lewis. Excellent writing and intriguing storyline. The characters are really fleshed out and although the books are under the thriller genre, I found the storyline to be more down-to-earth and realistic than most thrillers I've read. Never dull and often poignant but very believable. Thoroughly recommended for anyone who likes a thriller that's a bit different from the norm.

We'll see. If you read "the panther" or indeed any of the John Corey books next, I'm taking out a restraining order
