That's the only Wallander one I've read although I watch the various series. It's quite a good one.

Just finished C is for Corpse by Sue Grafton - part of the Kinsey Millhone series. I have enjoyed all of these so far.

Now reading The Shining by Stephen King.

It seems a lot of people are reading Stephen King at the moment! I have just finished Nicholas Sparks' 'The Best of Me' which was OK, although not his best. I think I am going to read 'Under the Dome' next by Stephen King as I enjoyed 11.22.63 so much

Joan Aiken - The Wolves of Willoughby Chase

I've finished listening to The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. There were two threads to the story, the first being the story of what happened to Allan Karlsson after he escaped from his nursing home on the day of his 100th birthday. The second thread, intertwined with the first, described his life over the previous hundred years and his involvement in pivotal points of world history.

The story of Allan's escape and subsequent adventures was quite good fun, though highly improbable. The second thread regarding Allan's previous history stretched my credulity too far and was also rather dull in parts. So all in all just ok.

I can't decide what to listen to next. I've got a week to wait for my next Audible credit and desperately want to listen to both The Twelve by Justin Cronin and A Question of Identity by Susan Hill. I do have a few other books to listen to, but might have to change my subscription so that I can get both books now!

I finished The Twelve today - absolutely loved it. Won't say anymore, though would like to hear what others thought of it.

Now going to start Perfume by Patrick Suskind

I ditched The Gone-Away World, just couldn't get into it.

Having the opposite problem with Jenny Eclair's latest book Life, Death and Vanilla Slices - struggling to put it down. It's quite bleak but also funny and very true to life.

I've just finished 127 Hours by Aron Ralston, the guy who got stuck under a rock in Utah and hacked his arm off with a penknife. It was surprisingly beautiful. Plus I'm just back from Utah, and it was nice to read about somewhere I'd just been.

I have no idea what to read next, I have no inspiration at all.

To be honest, I might put it to one side for a bit and return to it later as it's taking too long for me to get into it - I think I'm just not in the right frame of mind for a really long saga at the moment.

Finished "the eagle's prophecy", another good book in the series. Our heros end up on the high seas chasing pirates. Reunited with their old foe Vitellius and their former commander Vespasian.

Will move on to my first Lee Childs book, the killing floor. The first book in the Jack Reacher series.
