^That one sounds interesting.

I'm about a third of the way through 'The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart' by Jesse Bullington. I'm loving everything about this book - it's set during the middle ages and is very grisly and full of suspense, but with a comical streak, in parts. It reminds me a bit of a more chilling version of 'The Book of Lost Things'.

I'm reading the Allison Brennan books at the moment - there's Lucy Kincaid series which I'm just starting and I also read the See/Fear/Speak no Evil series. I like them because there's suspense and also a bit of romance. Not the best things ever written but enjoyable.

Can't Live Without - Joanne Phillips

Another book I've found through Twitter and another good read

The Preacher by Camilla Läckberg. So far pretty slow, but the pieces are falling into place for a ride at the end.

I like that one too

I've just finished reading Life As We Knew It by Susan Pfeffer. When an asteroid hits the moon, it has devastating consequences. The story focuses on one family's struggle to survive and is told from the perspective of the daughter who keeps a diary.

It's a brilliant book. I'll definitely be reading the second in the series.

I read that years and years ago.... sufficiently long ago that I can'r remember if I loved it or hated it - I think it must be one or the other because otherwise I wouldn't remember having read it I might see if I can borrow it somewhere and see which it was as my curiosity is now piqued.

Who's Afraid of Mr Wolfe? - Hazel Osmond. Having a chic lit time, at present. Set agains the world of an advertisng agency, opposties attract, employee versus her 'Heathcliff' type boss, denying their own feelings for each other etc. etc. Sweet, hilarious, and poignant, a feel-good read, that I really didn't want it to end.

Capital by John Lanchester.

Only okay for me. I think the idea is great but a combination of thoroughly dislikeable characters and tepid prose is not hooking me in.

I'm also very eager to finish and start the frankly fantastic sounding Hope: A Tragedy.

'The Girl You Left Behind' by Jojo Moyes. This is the third of her books that I've read, and I really do admire her writing.

She explores some really intelligent and thought-provoking ideas about morality and the grey areas between right/wrong and good/bad, but it's all written in such a reader-friendly style that it's easy and enjoyable to read.

Just finished "Before I go to sleep" by SJ Watson. Absolutely loved it (although the ending was a bit rushed).

Have just started "Fifty shades of grey" by EL James. Pretty enjoyable fluff so far.

After that will be Stephen King's "11.22.63".

Very sad but she comes across as a very proud and dignified woman. Also really like how she talks about her early life and that of her children and now (ex husband).

Wilkie Collins, "No Name".

Since I got the Kindle I've been reading the freebies. I'm stunned by Collin's readability. Modern in style. Humourous. Joyous.

Agree with you. No Name is a wonderful read. Likewise Armadale and The Moonstone
