I'm reading I Michael Bennett by James Patterson..................to say I am a huge fan of Patterson would be an understatement.

I'm also slightly addicted to Diane Chamberlain books at the moment after reading The Midwife's Confession amd Keeper of The Light.
Spoiler
Having said that it's still very readable but if it had been the first DC book I had read I may not have read any more. Incidentally this problem with the text size has convinced me to get a Kindle, although I will probably wait till Christmas. ![]() Good luck with you Kindle, I wouldn't part with mine until someone prises it from my cold dead hands. ![]() Edited to add: I'd definitely recommend 'Before The Storm' and it's sequel 'Secrets she left Behind' if you want some more DC action! |

I have just finished the Mistborn trilogy and am starting the first Eragon book
![]() I really enjoyed the Mistborn books and have reserved the sequel at the library, which I'm hoping won't be a let down! |

Reading 'The Stand' by Stephen King. Don't know how I missed reading it before because I've read a lot of Stephen King (Pet Semetary is one of my favourite books). About 150 pages in and really enjoying it.

I'm on the 5th Agatha Raisin book. I'm really enjoying them and I've now got the Hamish Macbeth books to read after I have finished these. It's like Agatha Christie and Midsomer Murders had a baby, with a good dollop of funny thrown in.

I have just read Salem's Lot by Stephen King - which I really enjoyed, couldn't put it down - and All For You by Sheila O'Flannagan - which I found really hard going as it seemed to repeat a lot.
I am now reading Two For The Dough by Janet Evanovich - the second in the Stephanie Plum series. I am enjoying it so far, as the book is easy to read and there are quite a few funny moments. I have all the Stephanie Plum series on my Kindle, so working my way through them but I like the first 2 that I have read. |

Unwanted - Kristina Ohlsson - enjoying it, even though the two main policemen are unlikeable, sexist morons.

Andrew Gross - Killing Hour/Eyes Wide Shut - no idea why it has different names in the UK to US.
Not bad or great, but I wouldn't mind having a couple of points clarified but does anybody know of a website anywhere, where you can read book reviews discussing what happened in a book? I've looked before, thinking there'd be hundreds but I've never found one. Every review site is prefaced with no spoilers, "I won't give away what happened" etc Quite why anybody would read extensive book reviews before reading a book, I've no idea - why not just read the book instead? But there are plenty of places on IMDB you can discuss film content, if ayone can point me towards a book equivalent or has read this one, it would be appreciated. |

I've just finished Along came a Spider by James Patterson - and just realised there's a film of it? never knew that, I might check it out. I'd worked out the ending before I got there but still enjoyed it a little! His writing style is disappointing really, I find that it's clunky and awkward at times. I might try one more book but am very tempted to jump ship and perhaps try a Tess Gerritsen?

I'm currently reading 'Cupcakes & Kalashnikovs' - it's a collection of articles written by women. Spans about a hundred years of women's writing. It's very good - some are very funny, but some are equally harrowing and disturbing. I'm reaching the end of it, and it really has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride.

Just started 'Mockingjay' by Suzanne Collins, the final part of the Hunger Games trilogy.
The 2nd book was ok but not as good as the 1st, hope the last part will be better. |

Just finished Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I loved all the 80s pop culture stuff but there was a lot of filler within the story that dragged it on and was irrelevant to the plot.
Just about to start Flowers for Algernon. |

About half-way through Sleepyhead by Mark Billingham. Just discovered him. But, however so far I fail to see what all the fuss is about the character and books. He doesn't strike me as anything special at all. I hope the series improves.

I am the same. I bought my first one nearly two years ago. Have to say it the best thing I bought. It goes everywhere I do. Very handy for doctor or hospital appointments. Though, I use the lowest font size, I may have to change that if my eyes keep going the way they are. The font size, and weight are the two biggest bonuses for me. And, of course, the ability to carry a entire library where you go.
Same here, I always said I'd never have one blah blah, kids bought me one for Christmas best pressie I've ever had, I live the fact that if I fancy reading a book I can download it right away and not wait 24 hours for delivery. Sorry for going OT. |

Agree with you that the The Hunger Games was better than Catching Fire.
