Wedding Diaries- Sam Binnie. It's all written in the style of a diary, and it's hilarious so far.

Just finished Jonathan L Howard's third in the Johannes Cabal series, Johannes Cabal The Fear Institute. Thoroughly enjoyed the book, he is a very good writer, both clever and witty and very original.

I've finished my literary trip to Cornwall with The King's General by Daphne du Maurier and A Perfectly Good Man by Patrick Gale.

My next two books are both set in London.

Capital by John Lanchester tells of the lives of the residents of Pepys Road at the time of the financial crash. Another Kindle bargain, it was 20p recently.

My audiobook is Whispers Under Ground by Ben Aaronovitch, the third Peter Grant adventure. A less conventional view of life in London!

Book four of the year in the bag – Around The World In 80 Days by: Michael Palin.

Interesting read, pretty funny and makes me want to go travelling (especially as I finished reading it outside in me hammock, with the sun out, and the music in me ear lol). Also opens your eyes to different places and ways of life as well as how different cultures are much more communal than the UK.

Next book to penetrate me eyeballs shall be: The Interesting Bits: The History You Might Have Missed by: Justin Pollard (one of the dudes who writes QI….) Also got me grubby mitts on: Great Outdoor Adventures: An Extreme Guide To The Best Outdoor Pursuits by Bear Grylls to add to me pile of books to read. This 12 books in 12 months bet with me friend has never been easier. On course to win £30 here

Finished Stephen Booth's "Dead and Buried ( Latest in Cooper/Fry) series. Not among the best in the series - more of a transitional novel I think to engineer a way of bringing Fry back to Derbyshire on a permanent basis and reducing the ever-growing cast of re-occuring characters.

Finished John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. Archaic but a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be after seeing the dustjacket when I was a child.

Breaking Bad - C.J. Box. Trying desperately to limit myself to 2 chapters a day because I can't bear to finish it, it's so good

Planning in Eastern Europe by A H Dawson. It might sound like Dullsville City but it's actually quite an interesting exploration of how things were organised and managed in Communist era Eastern Europe.

I love reading about Eve Dallas and Roarke, and her assorted police team, and this story was exceptional. I've got quite addicted to the 'In Death' series, ATM
