I have just read The Broken Men by C. Marten-Zerf (discovered on Amazon)

It's an action/thriller set mainly in Southern Africa and I read it in two days. One of those books you don't want to put down and keep thinking about after you've read it.

I need to get that !

Just finished Heartstone by CJ Sansom and have now started A street cat named Bob. I also still have Great Expectations on the go and started reading A Touch of Frost by RD WIngfield.

I really should finish one book before starting another.

I've just started listening to a new audiobook, Midwinter of the Spirit by Phil Rickman. It's the second in the series about Merrily Watkins, the female Vicar of Ledwardine, Herefordshire. I was impressed with the first book and am looking forward to this one.

Midnight rising - Lara Adrian

The Ocean At The End Of The Lane - Neil Gaiman. Halfway through it and although I may be a bit presumptuous, I think it's one of his best. I'm not a fast reader but couldn't believe it when I looked earlier and I'm over halfway through (to be fair it's relatively short at 176 pages).

Just finished this today. A great read and very Stephen King-esque IMO, far too short though.

Just finished the 3 books by Tom Wood, in the "Victor the assassin" series. Excellent books, very well written, loads of action and a great story line in each book. If you are a fan of thrillers/spy/assassin novels, then you wont be disappointed with these three books.

It's a fascinating read, he's brutally honest about himself and I came away with more respect for him.

I've heard great things about this and it's definitely on my 'To read' list.

I'm currently reading 'The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window And Disappeared'
After the first few pages I wasn't sure I would like it. The writer has an interesting writing pattern which includes very little dialogue and flips to and from different parts of the story and different perspectives quite quickly. That being said, I'm almost halfway through and am intrigued to see where the story is going.

Got 2 on the go . Ultimatum by Simon kernick. Am really enjoying it, I think is better than siege currently, am also reading, the sleepless by graham masterton, after somebody recommended it on here . Very bloody prologue , just setting up the main plot at the moment.

My daughter and I are 'buddy reading' Unwind by Neil Shusterman. The premise of the book is a dystopia where parents of children between 13 to 18 can have their children 'unwound', whereby the organs are transplanted into different children so their life doesn't technically end. Too far fetched for me was my initial reaction but its quite well written and has had a lot of favourable reviews so I'm sticking with it for now.

Really enjoying this book, although the subject matter of a missing son is heartbreaking.
