I'm off to see them in a few weeks, now I'm not a massive fan but I do like a lot of their main hits. Just wondering if anyone has seen them and if they put on a good show. I've heard they do...

I saw them on their Viva La Vida tour a few years ago - got crap seats which spoilt it but it was an impressive show which loads of lights, pyro etc. If you like to be entertained and you like their singles I think you'll have a good time. Hope you enjoy it!

Have they disappeared?

Sifter, I was the same as you. I wasn't a massive fan but I went to see their Viva la Vida tour and it completely blew me away so much so that I'm seeing them again on Saturday in London. As Tejas said, it's a really entertaining show.

I'm a huge fan and I saw them at a festival last year. They put on an amazing show. Chris is a fantastic frontman.

Saw them at Wembley stadium. Absolutely amazing stuff, a magical evening,

Sadly I don't rate Mylo Xytolo or whatever it's called so am saving the pennies this year.

Saw them at Old Trafford cricket ground on the Vida tour. Was brilliant, they know how to entertain.

I saw them last December at the 02 on the first leg of their Mylo Xyloto Tour and the whole experience is still very fresh in my mind, which shows how brilliant the show was!! I still have my Glowband or Xylobands as they are called(although I dont want to give too much away as to what it does!!). They certainly know how to put on a show!!

I'm not really a fan at all, more my wife's sort of thing so I took her to see the Viva La Vida Tour in Birmingham, but in all fairness they did put on a really good show, it was much bigger, and better, than I was expecting.

Agree with what everyone else has said. I don't really like their music but I went to one of their shows a couple of years ago with an ex and it was great, had a really good time. Definitely worth it.

They get a lot of unfair stick I think. Over the years the albums have had their share of filler, but they've also amassed a good load of tunes by now, and as everyone says, they do put on a good show live. Not always the fanciest of shows, but often little things that work well.

And I don't care what anyone says, I defy anyone not to get goosebumps when they do Fix You live.

I actually hate Fix You with a passion, I find it a bit cheesy. But when they played it live it was something special.

Seen them last night on their first night of the UK tour at the Ricoh Arena. Was absolutely phenomenal. The best gig/concern I have ever been to!

Yep - agree with the two posters above.

Made my forum account on here just to reply in this thread!

Incredible show last night, top performance and the flashing wristbands are such a simple touch but create such a specticle around the stadium.

Brilliant concert!

It's hard to think of a band that put so much effort into every one of their tour performances. It's bands like Coldplay - the kind of bands who, on albums are really quite tame but turn into feral monsters on stage - that deliver the best live experiences.

Have a great time, Sifter.

Saw them in 2002 or 2003 and they were shit then and got steadily worse as time has gone on.

I am a huge fan of them, but,the only thing I am scared of is that very soon they might end up having a very big Milli Vanilli moment and the backing tape gets stuck or jammed at one of their concerts!! There is no way that those 4 band members, who, by their own admission, are not the greatest musicians in the world can produce that full and note for note perfect sound at their gigs, even with their instruments hooked up to massive amplifier walls surrounding the venues!! I have listened intensely to bootlegs of their concerts including the one last night at the Emirates Stadium which is circulating right now online and the sound is so full and complete, that there has to be backing tapes used!!
