Wanted Humax HDR remote
D'oh! I have just relocated to Singapore and to my horror it seems that the remote for my precious HDR has been left behind
. Some people did mention on here that they had upgraded to a Logitech remote. Thus if anybody has a remote for an HDR going spare I am in need of one urgently! Can arrange a UK contact as go between or deal direct. There will be a cheque in the post guv!

Are you using it as a generic STB.?
Good luck with the remote, but if all else fails & you can locally source a Logitec they are set up by linking to a PC's USB. Original remote not necessary. David |

David Did I understand correctly that with Logitech remote you can connect it to a computer, go to a website, select Humax HDR and it will instantly work? If so that would be a good "plan B".

![]() Example Watch-HDR One push of the activity button turns on the hdr turns on the TV, selects the right input on the TV sets the volume control to the TV etc. Lucky you, Singapore's a pretty amazing place

Its also a good idea to photocopy your remote & on the copy label the buttons that you have customised. Otherwise buttons rarely used will be forgotten.
I'm thinking things like slow-motion & file manager. The Logitec also seems to work much better by way of its signals ability to bounce off walls ![]() --try that with a Humax !! ![]() David |

Lucky you, Singapore's a pretty amazing place ![]() but I need the Humax to play the HD stuff which is encrypted!Yes, amasing place! The internet when it is hooked up will be 100Mbit on fibre optic with free data SIM card (1Gb per month cap) free "landline" (VOIP is my guess) and free for 12 months some sort of box for watching TV and films on demand. All that for 19 Quid a month. A tad better than Infinity! Hence the wait list! |

Surprised no-one has suggested using a mobile phone or tablet, since the web interface for the Humax now has a remote control page. I have an original and a Logitech remote, but still when I don't have one to-hand I just use my android tablet.
Looks like the 300 doesn't have an activity button, see this pic of the 525 that I have, activity button at the top picture link |

Thanks for the info! Had no idea there was an Android App for the HDR. Meanwhile by messing about on the MyHarmony website I have found the possibility to re-map some of the existing buttons on the 300. Thus I have put "media" onto favourite 1 and "+opt" onto favourite 2. Am about to go home and give it a road test

One of the packages is a cool remote control that also has favourite icons and programmeable button macros.
I use the modified firmware with the latest update for the remote control but don't see any programmable feature. Pingu |

Well, I now have a Harmony 300 and have done the business with myharmony.com. However it did not recognise my Humax as a device and had to pick what I hope it the right driver.

Sorted! Now have the 300 with "Media" on one of the favourites buttons and "opt+" on another. All in all seems to work very well. Many thanks to all for your suggestions and help.
