Hi,
I've recently purchased (2-3 months ago) a panny dmr e85 and as i needed a new amp i got a panny sax-r50.
One problem that i have stuggled to erradicate is that the amp causes intereference on the RF channels, particularly weak ones like c4. My TV reception is pretty crystal, but can get weak at night sometimes.
My setup is the RF goes into a booster which sends an RF signal to my TV, Tivo, STB and Panny...it does this in parallel, and all RF cables are profigold shielded & suppressed. The problem doesn't occur on scart inputs, so playing back DVD, watching freeview or recordings is fine, but if i have the amp on when something is recorded then you can sometimes see the interference.
I know its the amp because you only need to switch it on and off to see its effect. To be precise, it only occurs when the speakers are connected...which makes moving it a real pain.
I've tried moving it, sort of helps but theres a limit on where i can put it and i really want it somewhere specific, tried good cables which reduced it but didn't eliminate it...thought about a mains cleaner...expensive...
My last amp didnt do it at all, but then it wasnt digital...Should I be thinking its got a duff component? Is it time to call Panasonic or is it out with bacofoil to try and find out whether its affecting the TV or the aerial in the wall.
Any ideas/advice would be appreciated.
