Given the proximity of the Olympics and the BBC broadcasting many streams via the red button - what’s the latest on how to record any of these streams from Freesat with a Freesat plus recorder

Is it only the red button sports feed you are watching that can be recorded on 3001
What of sports streams >1
No mechanism to plan recordings in future time
Streams not listed in the EPG

Freeview has separate channel entries 301 and 302 in the EPG but no corresponding entries in the Freesat EPG.

Without knowing which box you are talking about it's hard to comment. Different makes handle the red button interactive streams differently.

The press release for the Olympic channels seemed to indicate they will appear as seperate channels complete with the full Freesat epg. (Time will tell ).

@SportingNonsense in #5 (and linked to @Iain in #2): we're expecting cable and satellite platforms will offer navigation by the red button, but there will also be EPG positions for the 24 channels. So those EPG channels should contain a schedule and be recordable, which marks a change from what was possible previously.

Using the freely available custom firmware and associated channel editor the existing BBC interactive sports streams are already recordable if you have a Humax Foxsat-hdr. You do have to set manual timers though.
