It certainly isnt a flop, the single is split into an ep which is charting at at number 2 in the album, so if you combine the sales it certainly isnt flopping.

I have never heard the full song, but the bit I heard did bring this to mind:

The single and Album topped both charts;

The Official Charts Company said the song, which is raising money for the Queen's Jubilee charities, was the biggest selling number one of the year so far, selling 142,000 copies in the past week

When sales are combined of sing between both charts it has sold over 300,000 in 2 weeks which certainly is not a flop.

This is one of those slow burners. First few times i thought it was pretty weak. BUT, having seen it done live and watched the docu over the weekend it now gives me goosebumps when i hear it. A deserving number 1. AND it stopped that dreadful whistle song getting there

Congratulations to Gary, it's certainly silenced all the critics. Everyone went mad downloading it when they heard it at the concert and the beautiful documentary of how it was made certainly helped as well, he's a very talented musician

Tragic for music. Hope the charities do good work.

The opening lines are very off-key.

I preferred it when music didn't need or think of Gary Barlow as a Godlike songwriter extraordinaire . 1998-2005 those were good times for music

Dont think she was, as she was standing the other side. and seemed to be on her own. She didn't look like one of them....no offence intended.

It certainly didn't flop but,like the Military Wives thing a few months ago, if everyone who'd bought it had just given the money directly to charity, both the charities and my ears would be better off.
