Why does my 14 week old Chorkie hide her food all over the house and yard??? She whines whist she does it...I'm confused!

She is probably saving it for later. She hides it so no one else can have it. My dog has only just started doing this and she is nearly 2.

I don't have any other pets tho. Would that matter? Thanks in advance x

It wouldn't really matter. we had a lone dog for years and whenever we gave her a bonio, it'd get buried in the garden of behind a cushion in the house. if you went near where it was hidden, she'd wander over and move it.

it may just be that she doesn't want it now and she's caching it for later consumption
the whining though... no idea. is she usually quite vocal anyway?

That's exactly what she does..cushions, pillows, her toy box etc.
She's a very vocal dog, if her bowl is empty or needs the loo. X
