Boardroom Clothes

Hi, Is it just me or have the candidates been using the same clothes in the boardroom for the past 11 weeks? I am not saying when they announce who wins the task, but when the losing team goes in...

I have watched most of the episodes in a go in iPlayer and I have notice this.

They do. Jade wore the same black dress until tonight (and then she only stopped wearing it due to the fact that the boardroom seemed to be immediately after the pitch.

They always do because they film the taxi exit shots at the beginning of the series so they have to wear the same clothes for the boardroom each time

Yeah! Noticed that. And this is, weirdly, the first series they've done it. Everyone seems to assume it's always been the way, they were definitely saying that when Zara was on Young Apprentice, but series 7 it was different outfits each week. Tom and Melody are good examples - in the boardroom together three weeks running, different outfits each time.

They always wear a coat when they leave for the taxi, it takes a pretty eagle-eyed YouTube commenter to point out when they switch from skirts to trousers (for instance!), so I'm not sure what's changed to make it necessary. Maybe to give them more freedom when editing? Doesn't ring entirely true, they'll be in different seats so there's a limit to how much they can do, but it might mean they can take pick-ups from different eps?

I liked the variety, honestly. I don't pay much attention to what they're wearing, can go weeks without noticing a pattern on a tie or some such, but I do eventually notice the same battle-clothes week in week out more than I'd ever have noticed the wrong trousers popping out beneath their jacket - outfit like Zara's (or Mahamed's, had he been in the game longer) and it does jar.

This.

I'm not sure if they do pick-ups, but it certainly gives them the opportunity to cut in reactions from other episodes to fit the narrative better.
