Trust her to pick Adam up on an off the cuff comment made to Jade ....... 'Off you go and make some nice chocolates' (or words to that effect).

When guys take the P out of each other, I dont see Karren getting upset ........ but when its aimed at a woman, out come the knives!

Get over it Karren, not all men are against women in the workplace otherwise you wouldnt have gotten a free ride to get where you ended up.

She seems to have become very angry and bitter from her time in business and working relationships with men. But suppose she has prob experienced a fair bit of sexism in her time

I know what you mean. My reaction was, oh please Karren - don't bother, Jade really doesn't deserve this staunch defence.

Yes, this....

Inappropriate, but Adam's reaction was ok...

Actually I thought it was a valid point...not even from a 'sexist' angle, so it's you whose come up with it being due to her 'raging feminism'

I just picked up on it at the time as being a very rude thing to say, given how it's clear they have a mutual dislike for each other, and thought as PM Adam should have put that to the side. I mean, it did come across as a bit...cliquey to me, literally telling her to go off on her own whilst he and Nick handled the 'important' stuff.

And I'm not a fan of Jade but lets be honest, she deserved a bit of Karen's defense. She did well in the task. Oops. Guess I must be a raging feminist too

I didn't see it as Adam being sexist or Karren being feminist.

I thought Adam made that comment because he believed Jade not to be a competent candidate and as a result, dismissed/sidelined her to make the product rather than the business strategy and branding.

I can't be wrong, it's my opinion.

Why so touchy anyway, I was sticking up for your side of the argument.

Very odd...

(unless you'd rather be known as a sexist than a humanist, according to that other poster?)

But wjhat else could he do? One person had to be on their own and its only reasonable - expected, rather - for the PM to be on the more important sub-team. Sending Nick and Jade to be factory would work to prevent cliques but wouldn't be the best use of manpower, would it?

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with his decision at all, just that the way he phrased came across as quite rude and dismissive to me, and from the look on Jade's face she felt it too.

I don't think Adam meant it how it sounded but I don't think it was unfair of Karen to fault him for it either, I mean I wouldn't think much of my team leader if he was essentially saying I wasn't in on the important stuff.

It's not the first time Adam has been patronising to women. I'm amazed he's lasted as long as he did he's so sexist it's embarrassing. Thrilled he's gone now, not that he could have ever stood in the way of Jade's star rising.

Karren isn’t always correct in what she perceives but she’ll say it anyway. From the filming of Jade's reactions whilst she was at the chocolate factory she looked to be in her element and I also thought Adam asked Jade if she was okay with going to the factory and can‘t recollect she said no.

I agree. I have never seen such a gender-divided series. The men made it only too obvious that they didn't like Jade, as they have done with almost every woman in there. "I hope you get Jade, ha ha" indeed.

Karren was perfectly all right in her comment. If the OP thinks that was raging feminism he must have had a VERY sheltered life.

Isn't this the same Karren Brady who was a director of the Sport newspapers group? The Same Sport newspapers group that published such feminist titles as The Daily Sport, Sunday Sport, Adult Sport, Sport Babes, Sport Reader's Wives and Ladsmag. You would have thought after working for that company she would have a sense of humour.

The man who gave her a job (if you'll pardon the pun) was porn magnate David Sullivan

She can't be a feminist if consorting with the likes of him

She was crap this week.

Not nearly as 'boring' as the odious Adam's chauvinism. It is rare these days to meet such a totally unreconstructed man. His appearance on YBF when he was so pleased with himself just cemented my poor opinion of him. Totally ghastly character.

Couldn't agree more. I always think you can tell you're on shaky ground when Kelvin Mackenzie turns out to be your greatest supporter... The two of them this evening seemed like two peas in a pod; a slimy, greasy, chauvinist pod all be it.

Was Adam on You've Been Framed as well?

I agree with you about his chauvinism. He's so patronising to women he does it without realising. You don't have to be a feminist to notice it either. I'm male and much older than Adam, but he seems to be a throw back to the 1960s.

What is also annoying is how he picks up on what people say and repeats it in agreement. Parroting back their comments. So Lord Sugar was right to fire him (despite him arguing tooth and nail not to be). Ruby Wax was right to recognise he looked different in real life. The business bloke was right about everything he said. He's just agreeing with people to look good. In doing so he kept talking over people during the show which was also annoying. Basically he's a chameleon, he wasn't learning new things about wine and art, etc, he was simply mimicing what he saw.

And yet.... he has a £1m+ property portfoilio and a thriving fruit and veg business. He's no fool when it comes to buying and selling. I wish he would stick to what he does well.

Except Kelvin McKenzie clearly likes Jade, unlike Adam, and predicted her as winner.
