Take a look around you! Feminism is basically against the patriarchy....the system that allows and encourages ambitious and strong men to succeed at the expense of others, primarily women. But when you see the amount of men who commit suicide, end up in dangerous jobs etc. because they do not fit the stereotypical alpha-male role, you can see that PATRIARCHY DOES NOT WORK!
So feminism wants to see a FAIR system whereby EVERYONE is treated the same...not just women and men, but all kinds of women and men.
It is merely called feminism because women were and remain the primary group who are oppressed by the patriarchal system and women were the ones to fight back.
I am always wary of any person who opposes feminism and does so by insulting and
attempting to silence (for that is the crux) those people who challenge sexism wherever they see it. That goes for the OP.
