Was I the only one who cracked up at Nick's comment about their grooming? I don't know, hearing him talk about their gelled quiffs was just so unintentionally amusing to me 
He has an incredibly dry and intelligent wit and says it seriously with great facial expressions that make it even more funny.

I don't think he was aware of the innuendo at the time. He used the word in a military sense (drill=practise), exactly the way you'd expect him to.
