what's a really good vpn to watch it with?
the one i have now only does uk/usa.
The USA & Canada VPN on ibVPN has a small number of Canadian ones, it was two I think. A pitiful number compared to all of the US ones you're paying for though.

So if I buy a US/CAN VPN, does that then block videos from the UK and Europe?

Yes, but you can turn the VPN on and off as you wish.

Ah cool. So it's fairly easy to use?

Yep, it was for me! There's the occasional issue that it can be a bit slow though.

Right. Think that's the one I'll go for. I need it not only for BBCan and BBUSA but also the new season of Arrested Development on Netflix in May.

Blacklogic VPN is one from Canada which has 62 Canadian ones, but they charge far more.

arrested development has a new season? whoa, didn't even know... sucks that it's netflix only though, hopefully they put it on blu-ray or dvd.

Just had a look and the only way I can seem to get it is by paying $40 annually.. even though that would cover the US version too I guess!

So BB Canada begins Feb 27th, I'm guessing it will run for around 10 weeks so should conclude around the 8th May. Then around a 7 week break until BBUSA on 26th June with an extended 12 week run until mid September.

So what's the best VPN to get to be able to cover BBCAN & BBUSA or is it better to wait and see closer to the time?????

I think it would be great if someone made a thread or even just a post in here detailing the best VPNs and how they work for us uninitiated.
Great idea and possible include in post how to set it up etc when bought

The VPN's don't take much work to set up, it's all pretty self explanatory. You generally download a connection wizard, enter your user / pass and then select the server of the region you're wanting. A couple of minutes tops to get your head around it. You could probably check a few out without paying anything, most of them have trial periods, so you could familiarize yourself with the process.

I was hoping ibVPN would be good this year. Usually in my experience, with VPN's, the connections for live streaming can be a bit flaky. So when I read this:

"ibDNS is a new service provided by ibVPN.com that easily unblocks geo-restricted websites (like Netflix, Hulu, Pandora) with NO speed-loss. Unlike VPN, the speed you have on your regular Internet connection is the speed you get when using ibDNS."

I thought YaY, no more buffering issues ... but when I logged into ibVPN and checked it out, I found the service didn't cover slice.ca channel (BB Canada). Well not yet anyway, there was a lot of Canada channels available and it says they are adding more all the time but no luck at the moment

Last year for the BB US feed, I found ibVPN to be poor but very cheap (I think it was 12 pound for 3 months) with a lot of buffering / latency issues. I ended up using FlyVPN which was alright but had a few bad days as well, but that was 8 pound a month. I tried a few others but they were all generally worse than ibVPN.

Yep! Netflix have ordered 14 episodes. They are still filming I think? They will be releasing all the episodes together in one day.

This interview with the host is geo-blocked but works ok with ibvpn (using the Laval Canada option)

I tried Hotspot Shield but no luck.

Arisa Cox's Twitter is, not illogically, @arisacox .

Thanks for the updates!

Haven't seen the interview but based on the promo she seems ok. She has a long way before she matches up to the lovely Julie though

No geoblock on this interview with Arisa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tk0VrLR3fk

I get the impression she's only a 'fan' of the show because it's her job to be, and also that she hasn't seen anything pre-BB14.
