Since there were only 3 in the team, Adam would be available to be fired regardless.

Adam was the only candidate who hadn't already been PM twice. There's no need for conspiracy theories here.

Nick was a bit like Tom last year. He has good ideas and puts them forward, but if the PM rejects them he just accepts it instead of forcing them through. (For example, he told Adam that the jellies would dilute the brand too much, and he suggested the hot chocolate which would have reinforced the brand.)

The only positive thing was the research. And yet they won and Adam's team got most of the criticism. Who would have invested money in Tom and Ricky's product? No-one!”

This issue always comes up. Lord Sugar isn't looking for someone to go into a factory and make a nice product, or design some pretty packaging. He wants people who can think strategically, use common sense and research & back up every business decision.

Adam's products looked amazing but his business model was flawed and he did not present a sustainable business. All Ricky & Tom needed to do was improve their product.

Framed my ****. All the others had already been PM at least twice and all bar Ricky (who was PM this time as well) had won at least once. Adam had had one disastrous attempt at being PM and then retired to consider his comfort zone so it made perfect sense for LAS to make him team leader this time. Maybe it was his bad luck that the task wasn't exactly ideal for him but then again, Adam's comfort zone is apparently smaller than a postage stamp so it's difficult to think what kind of a task would have been ideal for him to lead other than the "Sell shedloads of cr@p and patronise/p*ss off as many women as you can" task.

The only things that framed Adam on this task were his own lack of overall ability and willingness to put himself forward as PM (and possibly, just possibly, a slight lack of commitment from one or more of his teammates).
