I don't think he's dopey. and apart from the odd mistake (which they've now all made) I think he's quite switched on.

Now if you said he looks like the other dwarf 'Sleepy' then I would have said yes! He has such sleepy/droopy eyes, I just think he always looks like he's had about two hours sleep every programme. Mind you he's a good looking guy even with looking half awake, the best looking male that's ever been imo (though his fashion style plays a big part in that).

He does lack in personality and warmth. He comes across as the stereotypical 'been given it all' sort who cant cope with curve balls or understand what makes people tick.

And that makes him very unattractive.

The problem Tom had was he didn't make for good tv. He may be good at his job and all that sort of thing, but as a reality tv candidate he's not that appropriate. His personality is too, I dunno, calm or whatever the right word is to describe his personality.

I think the producers have to balance ability and personality. If every person on The Apprentice was like Tom the show would die a quick death!

I thought he was very fanciable. But elusive - you'd never know you were with him and I think he'd trade you in for a better model

His eyes always looked red rimmed like he wasn't getting enough sleep or he wanted to cry.

One Tom type personality per series is fine but that's enough!

He reminded me of Mr Spock from Star Trek. His emotions in check most of the time. Perhaps Tom is half human/half Vulcan like Spock.

I suppose he does look attractive though I don't find him appealing or interesting. His blank steady gaze and stillness are unusual and there is a look of almost sullen sensuality about him.

He is smoking hot. The other hottie was the Scouser who had the eyeglasses business. GQ ought to call young Tom.

I agree he didn't necessarily make good tv with his deadpan (but still gorgoeus) eyes, but i feel like some of this was just the way he was edited. In the highlight's montage of the Your Hired show he suddenly came alive as quite a fun guy - likeable, laidback and enjoying having a laugh. I don't know why they didn't highlight more of this side in the actual show!
It's clear from his twitter/what others have said about him that he's far more interesting than portrayed in the show.

Yes, he is. I've had the good fortune to interact with him directly over the past few weeks, and the sense I get is of a hard-working, charming guy who is confident rather than arrogant. I've been writing for his website (tomgearing.co.uk) and will hopefully get an interview with him up on my blog (slouchingtowardsthatcham.com) to go alongside all my episode recaps in the next few days.

Anyone who includes a letter from his dad in his references saying what a great chap he is to work with blah blah blah is deluded. Also when the guy asked him who had written such a glowing ref he said he didn't know who it was.

It certainly wasn't ideal, but given that he has never worked for another company and his dad is a director of the company he runs, who else was he going to get a work reference from? I'm not sure why he denied knowledge of who it was though.
