Avoiding the point of the thread, but if your thinking of getting one you'd probably be better off (money & tech wise) getting a Galaxy Note or Galaxy Nexus.

Why do you say that? £34 per month on three with unlimited MB. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

My boss received his this morning. He's just shipped it straight back due to being throttled by Three.

Why a Nexus? The S3 pisses on it. The Note isn't a phone replacement.

How could he tell he was being throttled so quickly?

What's wrong with the note? I think it's a great phone.

The note is a great piece of kit, there is certainly nothing wrong with it! However unless you are particular about the screen size then the S3 is far superior.

He was probably literally being throttled by 3 - a hand came out of the box and grabbed him by the throat...

Oh yea obviously the S3 has better specs. I chose the note over the S3 for the screen size and S pen features. For me those things outweighed the higher specs of the S3. The OH has ordered the S3, So we'll have both anyway.

I reckon 4.8" will be 'average size' in a year or so with business usage preferring the bigger Note types.

Consumers can get by with a small phone but similarly they can get by without a smartphone. So feature phones might still dominate pocket phones.

My galaxy S3 is coming tomorrow (pre-ordered from Amazon), paid £499 and gonna put my Orange SIM in it. All the reviews say it's excellent so i'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I don't want to hear talk of the Note or Nexus. I would like to just hear from people who have the S3 so please stop hijacking the thread with pointless posts if you can't keep on topic. Thank you

I've got the S2 on 3 (18 months and still happy) so your coments will be well received here.

My boss received his this morning. He's just shipped it straight back due to being throttled by Three.
I've never experienced any thottling whatsoever. Sometimes using 20GB+ per month.

How would you know you are being throttled by 3 in a few hours of use?

Maybe they are already on 3 and this is an upgrade handset?
