That's the biggie for me - battery life.

What's it like when you are hammering the browser of playing vids? Does it still hold up?

I agree it is better but "far superior" is going a bit far. I have had my Note for 6 weeks now and love it, however come September I could get an SGS3 by passing the Note on to my wife, but really I don't think I could take the step down in screen size. Both the SGS3, HOX and GN seem too small now.

When I said far superior, I meant in terms of "performance".

...and I say that from looking at the benchmarking tests.

I love the Note though, was very tempted to get one, would be ace for videos!

Havent really utilised it to its utmost as of yet but its proving good so far, best battery in a smart phone since my first android phone about 2.5 years ago, its on 70% now and been off charge since 830am this morning, ive used svoice a little, taken 4 photos, made 4 phone calls, checked twitter and facebook several times and sent about 30 texts so battery life is good

Yeah the SGS3 with its Exynos quad core obliterates everything in benchmarks. I may well be tempted come September.

For those with an S3, did you get any dropbox allowance as well? There was talk of around 25GB for 2/3 years before the release. Not heard anything since.

Yes I have dropbox. First time I've used it. However according to my dropbox setting's I have used 9.2% of 2.5gb. I don't know if I have to do anything to get the remaining 22.5gb.

I always thought it was 50gb they were giving for Dropbox?

Still waiting for my S3 from Best Buy Mobiles (they did give an expected date of the 8th, but have now changed that to the 18th for new orders (mine just says order processing for the blue one)).

If it was not such a good deal I would go elsewhere (free phone and £65 cash back when I ordered it).

Annoying as Ive already got my case, memory and screen protectors.

I dont think thats it. Dropbox give you 2GB free, and 0.5GB for going through the tutorial. Which probably explains the 2.5GB of space you have. Have you used the dropbox app on your S3? I think if you login to the dropbox app on your phone it will know its an S3 and give you the free space (if the offer still applies).

I am not sure of the amount of space or the length of the offer. You may be right with it being 50GB. The only reason why I remembered about it now, was that the US only certain carriers are offering the dropbox allowance.

http://www.g33ka.com/2012/06/08/get-...ung-galaxy-s3/

offer is for two years.

Any issues, I'd go to the D.B. forums: http://forums.dropbox.com/

I did log in via my SGS3 and it was the first I have ever used dropbox. Not sure if it's anything to do with the network. I read that some carrier's in the USA are not going to have dropbox and I don't know if any of the UK networks have restrictions regarding it. I'm with T-mobile UK.

Can anyone comment on battery life? How good is it through day-to-day use? How long do you normally charge the phone for once battery gets low?

Re dropbox if you register you should receive an email to a link for getting started with 7 tasks like referring a friend, uploading a picture and setting up a separate folder etc after you do them you get 50gb.

I think you then need to log on to dropbox app on the phone make sure it's set up with the relevant email address

if that doesn't work try posting here:
http://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=61515

or raise a ticket here
https://www.dropbox.com/support

though seeing m4tt24's post maybe you need to complete all 7

I agree the battery is brilliant, my wife has the 4s and uses her phone less than me but my battery lasts way longer than hers.

I agree! I was at Download with my mate who has a 4S, we both left and unplugged at the same time (5am) - his died at about 6pm that day, my S3 lasted all day and all night and died the next day in the afternoon. it's fab!
