I used APP2SD on my DHD, never had a problem with it. Not had a need to use it on my S3 yet.

I once bricked my phone with SEs own software so that is not without risk either.
Just rooted my phone. Took about 2 mins...although the reading up on it took longer. A straight forward process. If anyone wants to know how I did it, drop me a PM.

I am not comfortable posting the link on a general board like this, for obvious reasons. Suffice to say, I followed a thread on XDA. Just performing my initial backup, that I can restore if I need to send the phone back under the warranty.

I've been looking tonight for good contract deal. Now reading the reviews of

buymobilephones
mobilephonesdirect
intomobilephones

and few other companies much like these ones, and I'm left wondering why are these companies still in business. I nearly got my galaxy S3 through the first one and then before went to complete my order I thought I've not checked reviews.

Can anyone suggest a reputable site where I can get a good deal ? Or is phones4u and carphonewarehouse all there is ?

I was going to get my mobile through bestbuymobiles (even had it on order), but they were not keeping me up to date and I thought I don't want to deal with a company that can't even do that.

They did me a favour in the end as found out I get a20 percent discount with Vodafone working for the company that I work for.

Might be with checking in o2 and Vodafone etc to see if you can get a discount if you work for a big company.

That means that Carphone Warehouse have manifested the data for collection (i.e. packed the parcel and raised the shipping label), and the Yodel depot is awaiting that parcel to arrive into them.

Yodel are notoriously slow at updating their website though, so it could be further along than that.

Essentially, yes you should seen an "out for delivery" update today (providing CPWH actually packed it).

Demand fooled me.

I know that small phones buyer's get an iPhone but I did expect a higher semblance of truth in the old S2 being oversize.

Now that big is officially the in thing I quite wonder how the Note is selling.

Major manufacturers have had it for a few months I believe, its Google's way of attempting to speed up roll out. Has it even rolled out to nexus devices yet (other than those at I/O)

Can anyone tell me if this website is legit?

http://www.mobi-city.co.uk/samsung-i...l#tabContainer

Just discovered that they're selling a Samsung Galaxy S3 32GB (in white and blue) simfree! Exactly what i'm looking. It's rather pricey at £599.95 but i'm SO tempted!!! I haven't heard of the website though, are they legitimate?

Looks like a bona-fide online seller. Why would you think it's not? They take major credit cards, use Thawte security etc.

I assume you would pay by credit card, which will afford you protection if you think they're going to take your money and run. There's a contact number listed; suggest you give them a call first.

At over £100 for an extra 16GB storage, that's a price hike straight out of the iPhone School of Capacity Pricing. I think I'd just go for the 16GB for under £500 and stick a 16 or 32GB microSD card in there.

Thanks. I've got cash to burn so i'm somewhat tempted tbh as i'm not interested in the 16GB variant and no one else is selling the 32GB simfree at all, so quite surprised they managed to get their hands on S3 32GB's to sell since Vodafone were meant to have exclusivity over the 32GB.

It's upto you.

I just went for the 16gb version and then got a 64gb micro SD card for £45 (a fast U1 one).

I'm just using the internal 16gb for the OS and apps (giving me 11gb+ for apps) and then I still have 60gb+ for music, videos etc on the SD card).

Even with the 16gb version you can still bump it up to 80gb with the 64gb card (although some is lost through formatting memory and the OS).

Mark.
