Was just about to post this. I did expect them to give franchise a little break this year, but It will nice to see some more gears.

The cover teases a character in chains, suggesting a prequel story explaining Marcus Fenix's incarceration before the first Gears of War.
Gears of War: The Slab explains all of that anyway and much more. Artistic license aside that picture looks to be right after Fenix's arrest but before his incarceration at Hesketh.
Anyway - if it means killing more Grubs then you can also count me in. But only if the gameplay's the same. I don't want some turn-based, micro-managed, stats-heavy, fps, motion-control or whatever unholy spinoff.

There's always room on my games shelf for some Gears.

It's been confirmed that People Can Fly (Painkiller/Bulletstorm) will be working on this next installment.

I think that's great news as it might put slightly different spin on things, the reason I say that is because I honestly don't think there's much to improve upon from Gears 3 so something a little different would be great.

It's called Gears of War: Judgement, and features Baird and Cole

I would like it this second.

Makes sense - Baird was demoted just before Gears of War for (I think, anyway) some undocumented reson.
