I see the Programme for the Proms 2012 has been published... http://www.royalalberthall.com/ticke....aspx#/page/1/

Anyone going, or attending one of the park venues?

I'm going to a few! Going to the joint Royal Academy and Julliard Prom as I got my degree from Academy and have friends playing. I'm planning on going to the Berlin Phil ones as they're always amazing quality. Probs also Gewandhaus, and Vienna Phil Proms. I'm tempted to see Peleas et Melisandre some really exciting programmes here!

What about you?

Among others this caught my eye, but appears to be sold out already... http://www.royalalberthall.com/ticke...1/default.aspx

Also I quite fancied this...

I've seen Sophie Bevan before and was really quite impressed.

Unfortunately I'm permanently short of time these days and a Theater/Opera/Concert trip to London is realistically two days out unless I want to rush off at the end to catch the last train home, so I have to be very selective in what I go to see.

Interested in seeing John Eliot Gardiner's interpretation of Debussy's Pelléas Et Mélisande. Also Berlioz's Requiem is a must but that'll likely be televised as it's on a Saturday.

I have worked at Proms in the park { Hyde Park } and it is interesting.

note this year they are restricting what can be brought it - No more than 1 litre of wine or beer to be brought in to the Arena per person over 18 years old.

I have worked at other events in Hyde Park and Proms in the park is very laid back.

They're forbidden at the RAH but they never have time to check the bags of the Prommers so I've often snuck a bottle into the Gallery
