Smooth ?

In marketing she cannot be front facing as she is rambling and inarticulate.

She works for a company that deals in Direct Marketing, in other words sending you junk you do not want.

If you look on the BBC website, there's a preview clip of one of Jade's interviews tonight - it says that she gets caught out on her CV (what it says underneath in the description is that she makes out to be an incredible businesswoman etc but that it turns out she actually got a grade N in A level Business Studies - which iirc means that she failed but was close to a pass or had extenuating circumstances or something like that).

I'd love for Jade to win, my favourite candidate this series

I think that last year showed that performance in the tasks has little influence who Sugar pick's - it's only the 'ideas' he's interested in. Possibly Tom will win based on his business experience with his Dad, ... not sure what the other one's have to offer.

Hoping Ricky delivers a Pedigree if he's fired - or at least a couple of chair shots...

Imagination in stressing your educational qualifications didn't stop Lee winning......And as he holds little regard for academic qualifications in general and economics/business ones in particular does that hurt her?

The suspicion has already been raised in the series that Tom owes his job to his dad and am I wrong or didn't Nick's piece on the final 5 make the same point. Not sure if Lord Sugar wants to make the point that the only way to win is to have a wealthy parent supporting you.

And if it comes down to Jade v Ricky ???

If I was him I would be wishing I had kept Jenna, Laura and Azhar who had similar issues to the 4 left, have decent stories of success from not much, but all probably come wanting to expand an existing business thats working.

Just noticed there's three women on the panel of the 'You're Hired!' show tonight. I hope this doesn't mean LS is going to choose the only woman left. I can't stand her.

I have a horrible feeling he might though. Her only real competition, in LS's way of looking at things, is Ricky. I reckon he thinks Jade is 'creative' though, for whatever reason. He really liked her dire animal cartoons for a start

For me, Jade's problem is she can get the strategy wrong or have none, but she also gets it right some times and pushes that to a win. She also rambles with a flow of ideas rather than structured arguement - but lots of university students do this - possibly as they have been taught by people who were never taught how to structure an argument either, or people who just didn't sort her problem out.. If her idea needs creativity, she's ticked that box and LS can give her structure- while she provides the energy. If her plan is complex, though, she may never explain it convincingly and it may fall apart. Ricky's problem is the elements he shares with Adam and Stephen of dangerous posturing over substanc, and his habit of getting everything right until the outcome still goes wrong.

If you knew Jade had a good idea involving creativity you might think she would deliver what you worked out with her. On Ricky's show record, I would wonder what would happen to sink my money and our plan at the last minute? Nick might deliver, but would he tell you if it was all going wrong? Would you trust Tom's judgement on any issues that turned up?

I don't really rate her 'creativity' myself. I'll give her that she did well on the sweets brief though.

I just don't like her I guess, and I never will- I don't like her grating voice, her smug attitude... I particularly disliked the way she gave Azhar the brush-off when he was giving her good advice. Maybe it's her lack of humility, coupled with a lack of talent that irks me? Her determination to ignore people? Her superiority complex? I don't know. (Most of these are probably plusses to Lord Sugar )

Well said, I agree entirely.

He voice really really grates, that is true, although you can look behind that if there is anything of substance. Sadly for Jade Nash there isn't.

surely her voice would drive him mad after 24 hours working with her?

Having just seen her she is immediately annoying in spite of not having seen her for a few days.

I doubt a person who plans to open a call centre, yet doesn't budget for the cost of a phone bill will be given £250,000 funding... Call me cynical, but I doubt it!

So why on earth is Karren, as much as I like her, sticking up for her ?

Wow ok she really exposed herself there. A business that cold calls people. nice. Guess we really need more of those.

I can't believe she was actually in the final, especially after her business turned out to be a call centre.

After several weeks of good performances after her disastrous spell as PM in the "flip it" task, all Jade's promises of a great business plan proved to be pretty empty. Her plan was by far the worst and most poorly put together of the four. Outbound telemarketing as a new business opportunity? That's SO 10-15 years ago.

Nick's idea wasn't as bad as was made out, but the final two were the right two. Personally I'd have gone with Tom - wine investment is a huge hot button in the City right now - but Ricky was ultimately a worthy winner. Who'd have thought we'd be saying that after the first 3-4 weeks?

I've dissected Jade's interviews/plan and those of the others over on my final weekly blog of this series, if anyone's interested (but for God's sake go and read Monkseal's too!):

She was a big pile of absolute rubbish. Appears to have got the end because she coloured the cards the producers wanted to keep her to the end. In terms of individuality she's just loud and probably annoys people into submission.
