My first was a Record in about 1988 I purchased. Buffalo Stance by Nenah Cherry.

The first one I remember is getting my mom to buy me Cher Believe single on tape when I was about 7 ish. I loved that song I played it to death to the annoyance of my mother.

First single: S Club 7 - Bring It All Back
First album: Aqua - Aquarium (or it might have been Spice Girls - Spice, I don't remember which one but it was one of those two)

Both were on CD btw.

Hits 4 on double cassette. Bought it with saved up pocket monies

I still have it and it still plays excellently! Only literally two tracks on there I don't like, and conveniently they're tucked away at the end of Side 2.

'Strong Arm of the Law' by Saxon in Sept 1980.

A great album in a gatefold sleeve with loads of pictures and info on the band. It also came with a free patch for my denim jacket.

How I miss those days, it's just not the same feeling with CD's!

That is a very credible first music purchase. The first album I had bought for me was New Kids on the Block 'Hang Tough.'

Ace of Base, The Sign. I remember getting upset when my walkman chewed it up after numerous plays in it.
