Alexandra - Please DELAY Heartbreak On Hold!
Radio 1 and Capital are SNUBBING her.
She needs more airplay and interest, she has 4 UK no 1 singles and sold 4 million worldwide. You know why? she has the talent of course but she was getting MAJOR airplay during the Overcame era. Airplay counts for chart success, any fool knows that. Cheryl releases generic crap and Tulisas single was SO generic and they're geting major airplay which will lead them to chart success. Alexandras two singles craps all over Cheryls and Tulisas but she's not getting airplay. Her albums out in two days, so it won't happen but if she knew this would happen. I'm sure she would wait till later this year or early next year.

She can't. It's too late. And if they're intent on snubbing her no matter when she puts it out, it'll struggle. It's already out in Ireland now.

I reckon the album will do quite well, but Let It Go has no chance.

Its already out in Ireland so the cats out of the bag unfortunately. I think the album will still go top 10, possibly top 5 if its a slow week.

There's so many dance-orientated songs out there now that Elephant and Let It Go sound quite generic in comparison. There's nothing really new or interesting on offer, unlike the Overcome album which sounded different enough to everything that was out at the time. Elephant especially has damaged the campaign i think, as the predictable rent-a-dj feature and autotune won't make people clamour to buy her album. People won't want to invest their money into something we've all heard a hundred times before.

Controversially, I liked 'elephant' but think 'let it go' is a weak mediocre effor.t. Still looking forward to the album, have a feeling there will be some great songs on there and 'let it go' was the label releasing an album safe track after elephant.

She's had her 15 minutes.
She is totally unremarkable, which wouldnt be so bad if she wasnt so full of her own importance. She is a legend in her own mind. |

To be honest, it would be even worse the longer she left it, so getting it over and done with is better. At the end of the day it should easily go top 10 with how dire sales are but I can't see it any higher than #6/#7 on 10-12k

With respect, fans like you are not doing her any favours-you're just pissing people off spamming the forums with these threads. If the album was unexpectedly good then people would cotton on to that and give her a chance. Every thread you start labels her as a failure in those people's eyes who would not have given that notion a thought before..

She can't delay it. It's already leaked, besides it's supposed to be released in a matter of hours, so the pre-ordered copies must have already been shipped. I don't see why she should delay it tbh. What if she releases it next month? Will they stop snubbing her? She can't change anything, if that's the media's attitude towards her.
I don't think she has much to worry about, though. The album won't totally bomb, I think it will do well enough and, with some good decision making, she can have a very successful 3rd album

why are people so in awe that shes not getting airplay? the songs are mediocre at best
i thought since she signed to rca she would enhance the r'n'b and vocal side of her debut, who the hell is managing her?? theyve given her an album of watered down, thin dance tracks i had high hopes for her sophomore, something like a mix between frank ocean, the xx, tlc, 90's r'n'b with a couple big ballad vocal tracks with dark lyrics (see leona's broken, but better) urgh! i was expecting something good from here, her debut was a good start but shes just gone down a weird path! |

I think these very similar threads should be locked or merged now. Posting a new thread and cluttering up, what was once, an interesting and varied music forum by just a few selfish posters is tantamount to spamming.
