I've always only ever listened to Capital and Radio 1 as I've never had a DAB Radio.

Capital annoys me because there's too many adverts, they have a very limited playlist and only ever play songs by the same artists. They also ignore when certain artists bring out new singles, and continue to play their older hits instead (eg. Capital constantly playing We Found Love rather than You da One and Talk That Talk)

I have recently discovered Kiss FM. It is basically just Capital FM, with the following improvements:

- Very few adverts
- More variety of music played
- Amazing remixes
- Continuously playing songs one after the other

I recommend it to anyone who likes commercial pop but finds Capital annoying.

Anyone agree?

Yes I agree.....KISS are an amazing station and clearly everything Capital wants to be. KISS actually play what their audience wants to hear and they don't ignore artists or snub certain ones for whatever reason...Also, they have a good and wide range of music, and also play some remixes which are quite good.

I've always preferred them over Capital and in fact I usually always listen to KISS over the former now...

KISS!?!?!?!?!

ever since Kiss went national its horrible!!!

And did somebody say variety? i LOL'd, they play the same song about 10 times a day!

For example, Cheryl Cole's new song was played 6 times in the space of 6 hours, yesterday!

The only thing Kiss is good for is weekdays between 11 and 12 for Kisstory.

Rant over.

I love Kiss mostly because they do have a wider range of artists and genre as they play not just dance and pop but R&B and hip-hop as well.

I really miss Galaxy, while it still had its faults, its own niche playing urban, R&B and dance...which made it different to Radio1 who were more indie and pop at the time (mid 00s)

Since Capital have taken over it is just an endless loop of Katy Perry, Rihanna, Olly Murs and Justin Bieber...and even more annoyingly they only play certain songs by these artists, would it be too much to ask to throw in an old Rihanna song like 'Pon De Replay' or 'SOS' every now and again? It has all become very bland.

Choice FM is also a good substitute for those that can't cope with Capital anymore.

It's run by the same company, but it has much more variety. They often play artists and songs that aren't in the chart. They also play a lot of album tracks (e.g. I was hearing Talk That Talk and Where Have You Been by Rihanna on there occasionally since last November). They also do this cool thing once an hour where they play an "old school" song, where they basically pick a song from the last 10 years to play (although I sometimes hear stuff from the 90's even, like I heard I Got 5 On It once).

I'd say Choice FM is fairly close to what Galaxy was, in that it has more urban music aswell as the dance stuff.
