Strictly Come Dancing - Tonight's show (13/11/04)
Well what does everyone think so far (before the results)?
My favourite was Sarah & Brendan....it was great! Hopefully Diarumid & Nicole will go tonight, they should have gone long, long, long ago! |

I enjoyed Camilla & Roger the most (I think they have the best partnership), but I don't think any of the couples really shone tonight; the paso doble is just ridiculous, and it's hard to make the 'trot exciting...
I would like to see Diarmid & Nicole go tonight; I'll miss Nicole, but I don't think Diarmid is going to get any better (and as Craig said, he has more than proved his bravery). I think Ian & Denise will go though; they just aren't as popular as everyone else. Hah! - I was wrong... I know nuffink... Awww... fair result... I'll miss her... |

I enjoyed it tonight, and I know I will sound horrible saying this, but I'm glad Diarmuid has gone because now it is more of a level playing field, or a level dancing hall
I did like the dances, especially Jill and Darren's foxtrot and both Julien and Erin's and Sarah and Brendan's Paso. The only thing I think spoilt Sarah and Bredan's Paso was the music. When I heard that they were doing the dance to Evenesance's song "Bring Me to Life", I could just imagine the singers making a really bad job of it, and I was proved right. I think the show would be much better without the singers!

I agree with you - the male singer murdered "Roxanne" last week!I, too, am glad that Dairmuid has gone - it was getting embarrassing. |

I'm glad hes gone too, it should be only about the quality of the dancing from now on ( I hope) and not who has a lot of fans.
I also enjoyed seeing that sh*t brendan sweating for a place for another week.

what about the judges
I didn't think any of the dancing was that great tonight. I'm a bit of a Jill fan & I thought she was dull. My favourites are Roger & Camilla although Julian comes a close second.
But, what about Craig Revel Horwood - is he the Simon Cowell of the show or what - I love him. Claire

I'm seem to be on my own, but I absolutely hated Brendan and Sarah's dance. I thought Denise and Jill were both brilliant and looked beautiful, Julian for some reason made me laugh, Aled looked slightly ill at ease and Roger defiantely danced the best I've seen him do. Diarmuid, bless, it was the best he'd done so far, but I am glad he's gone, if he'd stayed another week people with some real talent were going to start getting knocked out.

Brendan and Sarahs dance was good. Just unfortunately the singer murdered the song. So it didnt give it the effect it should have. It was a hard song to be replicated as the female in Evanescences does have a unique voice. But i thought it was the song that ruined their dance!

I quite like Aled, too. But not at his best this week. Brendan I want to go simply because I think he's an arrogant twit.I hate the singers too. Why cant they just dance to a band? |

I wouldn't claim to have an entirely balance view of the subject

Seems to be a common theme. A hate of Brendan. Ive always liked the guy and thought he is a fabulous dancer! I guess at times he can come across as arrogant but when your extremely good at your chosen career then maybe thats a right you have. The guy is a perfectionist and theres nothing wrong with that. Which at times can come across as arrogance.

It's more of a vanity/narcissism thing than arrogance; he just isn't as likeable as the other male pros.

Personally, I think that technically Denise is a very good dancer. But I find her very mechanical - she doesn't apper to me to dance from her heart. Jill does that, and that's why I think she has the edge.
Sarah feels a little akward to me at times. But I did like Brendan's interpretation of the Paso. I especially liked the ending. |

For Nicole's sake, it's probably a good thing Diarmuid has gone. She had a tough job keeping him motivated when he was at rock bottom. She is an amazing teacher in that respect.
