Last minute Nintendo Direct - Sunday 3 June 11PM UK

Yes. Tomorrow. Before Nintendo's E3 conference.

Apparently, this will be all about the Wii U's hardware specs, so E3 can focus on the games.

Interesting, looks like we have an extended E3 hype on our hands starting from tomorrow instead of Monday! I'm actually looking forward to hearing the hardware details so if it's going to focus on that, great.

Yay either I will be very wrong or this will shut up some people. I really do feel Nintendo won't skimp out on the SPECS . They lost awful lot third party support last time and there not repeating that again.

Satoru Iwata will present #WiiU news in #NintendoDirect Pre #E3, Sunday June 3rd at 23:00 GMT / 24:00 CET. http://bit.ly/HVgTAN

This #NintendoDirect will be about the concept of the #WiiU console. We'll talk more about games for Wii U in Tuesday's #E3 presentation.

----
Also note that they got the time wrong. It's 11PM BST, not midnight.

They literally cannot otherwise it's going to be another 6 years of it being a second class citizen spec-wise, something forum posts and commenters are relentless in mentioning.

Hopefully some good info about the WiiU can be announced. Also, is WiiU the official name or will it change just like the nintendo revolution to the Wii?

The graphics in those Wii's and the Wii-U Sports it showed have not improved even slightly... Exact same models.

Very impressed with it. Nintendo have a good chance to turn online gaming from the seething slagheap of hatred that it currently is into something resembling the first time I played PSO on Dreamcast. I love the idea and can see it catching on.

The new Pro Controller looks great as does the main Gamepad itself (I bet it's really comfortable). I'm hyped! Nintendo don't like talking about specs either, was quite obvious they wouldn't talk about them in this briefing. Let the games do the talking on Tuesday!

Was pointless watching that really nothing new was said. That new gamepad was revealed weeks ago although i do like that xbox 360 controller copy. Thats how i like to play my games, with a controller with no gimmicks.

Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these.

Not too sure what to make of the main menu screen at the moment.
I'm not put off though and am still excited and looking forward to tuesday and hopefully we will see a whole lot more of what this machine can do.

It's looks like an Xbox 360 controller with the right analog switched!

Still better than what they had before, somewhat let down, the controller is the only new thing we got hardware wise, the new design of the pad was leaked weeks ago, so I guess it's nice to have that confirmed, MiiVerse is going to be abused soo much, Nintendo better have 24/7 Admins and Mods looking at that.

Whilst what was shown was interesting, I'd like to have known a bit more about the remote aspect. They've said that you can just walk around and play it even if someone else is watching TV, but then how would that work with things like the golf game where it appears intrinsic that the 2 screens are used?

The other things missing were when and how much, though from what I've seen to date, the latter is not really going to be an issue unless it's a stupid amount.
