Maroon 5
I absolutely love Maroon 5, i have got their album and one of my faveourite songs on it is "Sunday Morning" because it is simple and not over marketed and common like their other singles, so you can imagine how pissed I was to see that there is a video for it which increases the probablity that it would be released as a single and every Tom,dick and Mariah would know it and it would be overplayed on the radio. RANT OVER.
Actually, What I really wanted to ask is if anyone knows how Maroon 5 is categorised by genre i.e rock, pop, Jazz?! |

Does it really matter ? I personally think they don't fall into any category, and that's why I like them.

'Songs About Jane' is my favourite album this year, 'Sunday Morning' is being released as a single on 6 Dec.
I'd say they are Rock/Pop. |

They need to change their actors in the videos every now and again.

Arguably the best album of the year. They fuse rock, pop, soul and funk to create a very unique band. The lead singer, Adam Levine, is a solo star in the making.

I love the album, but on TOTP today my daughter insisted they were miming. I really couldnt be sure, but I'm horrified at the thought that they might have done.
Did anyone see TOTP? ark |

I think they are a very fine guitar pop band. A little bit too soppy though - more of a band for women to listen to.

![]() Adam Levine a solo star in the making, I'm not so sure about though, not saying he's not good enough, but that seems unfair to the other band members who co-write and have contributed to the creation and exectution of the whole thing, that is Maroon5. It's the whole thing that I've been enjoying, not just Adam Levine I much prefer a 'band-vibe' for live performances in particular - the chemistry works better, so I hope they stay a band anyway ![]() Shouldn't worry about the TOTP miming thing if they did, TV miming happens a lot - they're an accomplished live act - no doubt about that, if they were able to have performed live - I'm sure they would have. |

I am a fan of Maroon 5 and I think their album is brilliant. I picked up a copy of "Songs about Jane" when I went on vacation in the Philippines as they are quite popular there.
