She needs to take her focus to America, she could be huge there with her material, look and voice, I cant think of any Black American females right now that are doing dance music and doing well in the states, but I think with the right promo she could do it.

She works hard and IMO deserves success. I hope the radio snub can somehow end.”

The radio snub is something I don't understand. Is it because she won the X Factor? I don't watch XF but she was one of the better winners.

she was the most played artist on radio when her first album was out so it obviously has nothing to do with being an x factor winner nor is for any of the other ridiculous excuses her fans are coming out with it is because HER NEW MUSIC IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! when will people accept that?

The radio snub is because she left Syco. He controls music in the uk, which is why you need to appear on his shows or be his friend to be successful.

An example is Olly Murs. He was going to leave the Xtra factor, but as soon as he agreed to stay his airplay increased, his tour got launched and he got his own show on ITV2. It's no secret.

He doesn't control Radio though. Thus One Direction getting snubbed by Capital.

Simon has no control on the radio which is why One Direction got snubbed by Capital after the Brits, why Rebecca Ferguson gets snubbed by Radio 1 and Capital, why Alexandra gets snubbed, why JLS's latest singles didn't do that well etc

And Olly has always done well on airplay. His first two singles were pretty big radio hits, then 'Heart On My Sleve' done very well on radio even though it flopped, and then the Rizzle Kicks collab was getting tons of spins before he even started Xtra Factor. He just makes very radio friendly and catchy music.

that is because 1D didn't refer to them when accepting their win at the Brits earlier this year. The award was for best British single which Capital listeners voted for yet the band gave a "shout out" or thank you to Radio 1.

cowell still doesn't control uk radio though. sure he has connection with big radio people, but he doesn't control them and they don't always support syco artists.

Sure it would be nice if they made the top 10 again, and I'm sure they probably will at some point, but both can ride out underperforming singles. Alexandra is still relatively new and has only just released her second album. She has a lot to prove and unfortunately she can't afford to flop too often at this moment in her career. My guess is the performance of her new album and the next single will be a make or break moment in her career. It's not like Alexandra Burke has big support of markets outside of the UK. She's in trouble if her sales falter too much here. ”

But this is the first single she has had which has flopped? If two or three more down the line this is still happening then I can agree with you, but I think people need to give it a little more time before writing her off.

They will not buy the album as radio stations are not promoting it.
The album "Heartbreak On Hold" will be lucky to break the Album Chart Top 10.

Her record label will consider dropping her.
If they do drop her, she will be stuck.
She will go on a Sky 1 reality show or something.
Then she will slowly fade out of the seen, with everyone questioning who she is/was in 5 years time.

Good luck Alexandra, you condescending, pretentious woman.”

Ok NedTV, you don't like Alexandra Burke but you've made two claims about her which need some sort of supporting evidence if they are to be taken at all seriously.

1. Who in particular has she been condescending to?

2. In what way do you find her to be prententious?

They will flop as they're acting like she doesn't exist. It's very hard to get an album track airplay and to chart if the majors ignore you.
