Joss Stone confirmed in an interview last year she was working on a sequel to her debut album and it's official, the album will be coming our way soon

Thoughts?

I can't wait personally. I am a huge Joss fan and so great to hear more material from her. Her LP1 era was a bit hit and miss for me.

She rubbished her first 2 albums and effectively the people who loved them. Then she released "Introducing Joss Stone" and the get out clause 4th album....then "LP1" another reference to starting afresh. Now she's backtracking furiously.
The girl didn't know when she was onto a good thing.

I can't wait for this. I just hope she's ready to get herself out there a little bit more, because the promo for her previous album was lacklustre. She always brings something different to the table, so I can't wait for this. And given that 'Soul Sessions' and 'Mind Body and Soul' are still my favorite Joss albums, I guess I may be in for a treat

I actually thought "Colour Me Free!" was a cracking album. Only just realised she's had another album out after that as well which i'll have to check out.

Randomly caught "Joss Stone v Christina Aguilera" on the Vault a few days ago and it just shows what a great, great voice she has. Will definitely check out the Soul Sessions 2 if and when it does happen.

Such a shame she shot herself in the foot so badly with the UK Public

she did fall out of favour with the uk public in a way i have rarely seen before. some people talk of irrational hate towards artists, but most artists have not had people arrested after a kidnap plot has been uncovered. i liked the original album and its an interesting concept to do another album of covers. however, i do agree she has had many `fresh starts`, but maybe sometimes you have to go backwards to move forwards.

Can't wait for this. I bloody love Joss Stone, hopefully this time people won't wrongly accuse her of forcing an American accent, which she had from her first album but only became an issue 3 years into her career as if she had invented it.

Still remember the time she got to perform twice at the same Brit awards, she deserves Adele level success.

Totally agree about Joss, Rivercity.
Funny though. As a Yank, I discerned no American accent whatsoever from watching her Brit's youtube video. She sounded the same to me. Enchanting & delightful! America will gladly take her!
Just shows how amusing the English are with your preciously rigid class-accents, (Although, without them, it would be much more difficult insuring that all of you stay down within your own "proper classes", wouldn't it)? I can agree with that.
And, I do empathize. We Yanks wanted to gag hearing our own "Madonna" Ciccone struggling to pass off her impression of an English accent. To us, she sounded like a bad Eliza Doolittle!

I love Joss, so I'm really pleased to see her release a new album. I still can't quite comprehend what went so badly wrong for her. Everyone seemed to go from liking her to hating her overnight, without her ever really doing much of anything.

I know in hindsight the Brits was more cringe than her turning her back and sticking the finger to The UK as it were

I don't really get her. As someone said earlier she dismissed her previous material when promoting the 3rd album and to me it sounds liked she has been on a big ego trip ever since...So not sure what to think of this new project. The art work looks good though!

P.S - She did put on a funny accent at the Brits and this with her general demeanour just didn't come across well.

Also, get onto the BBC Iplayer, she was a guest on the Andrew Marr Show last Sunday morning on BBC1. Fast forward to the last few minutes because that's when she sings. Don't know if she also sang earlier or was interviewed by him because I only caught the last fifteen minutes.....

Well i'm currently on track 3 and it's another cracking album from her. Her last couple of albums have been top drawer IMO but this one is topping them all at the moment. brilliant stuff.

Really impressed with what I am hearing

The sound from LP1 seems combined on this album which I am liking. The rock elements.

And the sad thing is, the UK record buying public will, for the large part, probably never even realise this exists ..

This is a wonderful surprise. I'm assuming album sales are really low this week, but at least her name will be back out there again.

I genuinely believe that post 2000, Joss Stone is the best female voice to come from Britain.

Excellent. I hope she can maintain this, it really is an excellent album. Such an under rated talent.

I'm surprised she hasn't tried to essentially "relaunch" herself in this country. With some decent PR, she could certainly get back into the public eye.

I know people can be fickle and would likely hold what she said against her, but equally I think people have probably moved on as well so she might stand a chance.
