Jade has no chance of winning. Why would Lord Sugar sign up to such an unpopular and unethical business idea.

No one, with any sense, would go for that.

To bankroll an army of cold callers who would cheese people off. Not a great idea.

Poor business models. The worst is Jade's & Tom's (or maybe Tom's dad came up with that idea). Nick's idea is bad as well but it can work.

Ricky's was the only one that was viable, in my opinion.

the plans were all rubbish but as someone who does use online recipes then I do think nick had the most innovative business idea.
Also, Ricky's business idea is rubbish. As someone who gets approached by dozens of recruitment agencies, all of whom say they are new and different, (and most don't last very long either) I can't see this getting off the ground. Recruitment agencies are going bust as fast as pubs.

i thought Nicks was probably the most innovative- but didnt understand where the money would come from- i didnt fully understand his BP.

Ricky had comprensive BP - but was a little boring.

I would have loved to know what Gabrielle, Duane's and Adam BPs would have been.

I use online recipes but unless it involves something really outlandish (cue Masterchef) I know where to get the ingredients. I couldn't be faffed with filling in a website and checking to find out where I can get caster sugar! Nick is a technology geek but hasn't thought it through. Most people use a particular supermarket and aren't going to change just for a recipe when they'll be doing all their other shopping at the same time. I also thought it was very Londoncentric. Most of us don't have a choice of six supermarkets within five miles.

nick said his was unique but pretty sure something similar has appeared on dragons den, maybe not the exact same format but something in that area.

jade's idea was a no go from the off, noone wants cold callers and lord sugar wasnt going to invest in that.

tom, didnt get it

ricky's was the most viable so was always going to win especially when claude said he was impressed by him

I thought it would be based on deliveries not physically shopping for ingredients.

Definitely Londoncentric then. And what about the delivery price if you're just ordering stuff for one recipe? Sorry, I think it is one of those ideas that sounds good on paper and then you start thinking it through and you just go WHY? The only use I can think of is when the ingredients are really way out. Wanted to make something from the last series of Masterchef that the Mauritian lady did and it was totally impossible to get some weird lime leaf in this area and I can't see Tesco trundling down the M3 with it!

Well I work full time in the North and a very large percentage of my colleagues have their shopping delivered. I would say it is at least 75%. I was not suggesting that you just get a few ingredients delivered. More that you would add it to your normal shop. Not for everyone but certainly something for the future.
As we get more mobile technology then the trend will.be to order online.

but if you simply added it to your normal shop, why would you have bothered to use the website?

Because whilst you are researching your recipes you can add the goods to your list to be delivered when your ready.
Like I said it may not be for everyone but then who thought Twitter would be so popular?
If you have an idea in web/internet delivery, it is vital to be ahead of the game as it is such a fast moving area.

Is an "ethical" recruitment consultant one that doesn't call you up with an offer of a Visual C++ role in the Outer Hebrides when you registered looking for PHP web development work in Berkshire?

Right idea, wrong time. Ten or more years ago it would have been seen as the future of direct selling.

He doesn't seem to be in the team behind it, though.

While at the same time asking you for a couple of "references", people you have worked for before, so they can "check you out".

Three days later you get angry calls from former employers demanding to know why you told the recruitment agency to cold call them !!!!

I think Nick's idea was very good, I would use it. Having been a cookery student it would've made life a whole lot easier to just click one button and not have to worry about getting my ingredients ready the night before. The idea needs some tweaks but I think it was the most interesting out of the four and Nick handled himself very well in the interviews when asked some (in my opinion) very unfair questions.
