Makes no sense.

Her first couple of minutes, could she be any more unlikeable ?

She was out first and therefore should've been interviewed first. I don't get it either.

Just like last year. Susan came out first ahead of Jim even though Susan finished third.

They either wanted to get Nick out of the way, or more craftily, thought that Jade wasn't appealing enough to start the show and may make people switch off so started with the more likeable Nick.

Since I liked Nick best this year, and also Susan last year, I tell myself it's the latter option.

That must be it.

I think it's the former, because Jades interview was done nicer than Nick's.

Personally, I think she came across brilliantly - love her ability laugh at herself (Adam, take note) and her response regarding the Adam VT was very classy. Will never understand the irrational hate some FM develop for contestants on reality show - it's just so petty.

What makes you think the dislike (hate is such as stupid word to use) is irrational ?

There was certainly more effort put into her's.
Although her voice is rather grating. lol

Because the amount of abuse you direct at her is absurd. Based on a weekly, 60 minute show, it's just not warranted. So unless you have some cogent reason for this hate (sorry, dislike ), other than her being loud, then yeah, I consider it "irrational."

I thought she came across really well on YBF. Felt sorry for her in the interview stage as she clearly didn't expect to go that far, and shouldn't have, but she has always come across a person whose company you would enjoy, a really good, warm character

Roll your eyes all you want. There is no abuse and no hate.

She is a poor candidate in this season.

You can consider it irrational if you want.

I agree that she did come across well on YBF and showed that she doesn't take herself too seriously. However, I have to agree with others that her business plan and CV were very poor and ill-thought out. Surely this is the first thing you'd try and ensure was bullet-proof before going on a show like this.

She was a good talker and salesperson, but that's about it imo.

As Jade being the only female, maybe they didn't want 3 blokes in a row.

I thought she came across as a warm, friendly character on YF. The whole 'Adam vs Jade' feud seemed to mostly boil down to Adam slagging her off and her reaction to it, and while people might not like her business technique, there's certainly not enough evidence to suggest she's half as smug or arrogant as people here have accused her of being (not the creator of this thread, but elsewhere.)

I think that's partly been the problem this series. Besides Stephen and possibly Adam, there's been no decent pantomime villain.

Was there any proof in the show that Jade was fired first? He fired Jade and Nick in quick succession, maybe the editing was botched?

Oh yeah, totally agree that her performance in the contest was weak, and business plan awful, I was just addressing the OP's point: "Her first couple of minutes, could she be any more unlikeable ? ", which I thought was unfair

I don't see how Jade is unlikeable at all. To me she comes across as the complete opposite. She seems laid back and appears to have a good sense of humour and I don't think she was as bad a candidate as people make her out to be. She was creative, got stuck into sales and stood up for herself well. I would like to have seen her or Tom get the win, but Jade's business plan did let her down in the end and I can see why Lord Sugar didn't go with it.

Fair point.

I have to admit to not being too impressed with her initially, but got to like her (like Ricky, believe it or not) just this past two weeks or so. Just goes to show that the editing can be a big part of how certain people are portrayed on shows like this.

I really admired her sitting there through the panel taking her apart. That took guts. But like I said in the last post, I began to like her and Ricky only the past couple of weeks, before that I really couldn't stick either of them
