Kenwood 5050D problems
Hi
I decided to push my kenwood amplifier over the weekend. I shoved it up to -10 and boy does it output some sound. After about 15 mins I noticed it getting hot and a very slight smell of burning. I rang Kenwood up and they said that running it that high was OK and it would get hot. The smell was put down to the fact that it was hot and new. Having checked it out, I can confirm that it is OK and nothing has burnt. Does anyone think that its safe to run it that high. I have my system configured with 5.1 outputs. When playing a CD, I get stereo and a SW. When the subwoofer is switched off, there are instances where the sound stops coming out of the main 2 speakers and I get a loud click. Can anyone confirm if this is down to the SW being off. -Darren
