usb mini a to usb mini a....where ?
...i'm looking for a couple of short (less than 1 metre) usb mini male to usb mini male cables for a usb hub to link 2 WD HDD's to a media player ..can't seem to find them anywhere....any ideas ?

Are you sure the media player can use its USB mini socket to attach and access a USB HDD ?
Perhaps post the model and someone will know its capabilities. |

...it's got a standard usb out...now going to a WD HDD that has a mini usb input.
I want to add a second HDD so what's the best way to link one standard usb out to two usb mini's in ? |

You can try a USB hub.
Standard USB A male to 4x standard USB A female. Then connect the two HDDs to the hub with their supplied standard USB A male (to mini USB B male) cables. Whether the media player can then identify and use two HDDs simultaneously connected.... |
