So what are the launch games? Is there a killer app game still to be announced?

At the moment - this is a no buy for me come launch day.

I'm sure Nintendo is well aware that their customers want Zelda/Mario/Donkey Kong/Star Fox/ F Zero/Mario Kart etc but they surely can't rely on the Wii Fit U game come 'Holiday launch' time can they???

Alright now this just got me excited...

"It also revealed that Final Fantasy XV will be available for PS3 and Wii U."

If the Wii U can release a final fantasy alongside the ps3 then we know the graphics of the wii U will be up to scratch...furthermore...final fantasy...back on nintendo? SOOO EXCITED!

Round 2 Guys!!

At 2am tomorrow morning at E3.Nintendo.com is the 3DS E3 Presentation.

Last night we had the Wii U, and it wasn't that bad, but hopefully Nintendo will deliever better content for the 3DS over the next year

That's the thing, they didn't explain it properly. But every game they showed at E3 was a launch / holiday game. In other words, every game shown will be playable in 2012.

They just failed to show any teaser of anything coming after that.

Do you have a source for that?

The launch window can extend as far as four months after a system's launch.

It could be as late as March until we see Pikmin 3.

Now watching footage of the new Catlevania LOS on the 3DS and it looks superb, it has traditional 2D gameplay but with 3D graphics, it looks better than it sounded that's for sure. It's also confirmed to be a Metroidvania in level design, one huge castle to explore and 15-20 hours in gameplay length. 4 playable characters, lot's of secrets and items. Looks like it could be a classic!

An iPad will last 10 hours from a 1 hour charge, it also does a lot more than a controller. I've never had to charge my iPad while using it, people with that controller will have little choice if they want a long gaming session. Nintendo have used a cheap battery along with a cheap and nasty resistive screen, lets hope that the final product price reflects the use of substandard parts.

Well, I have this list of 36 titles - most are marked either "launch window" or "holiday".

That doesn't mean that the launch window games will be released in 2012 though.

The games listed as launch window - provided they aren't delayed - could hit as late as Q1 2013.

What! a £400-£600 device running Angry Birds and Cut Rope out performs a £250 (ish) device running Assassins Creed 3 & Alien Colonial Marines in battery life???!!!!!

In other news my £25,000 German made car being driven at 20 mph is a damn site more fuel efficient than my Neighbours £12,500 Slovakian made car being driven at 80MPH.

One hour?!

A full charge takes a lot longer than one hour.

True, (I have an iPhone so I know). But run GTA 3 or infinity Blade on an iPAD theres no waaaay you're getting 10 hours battery life or anywhere near it. The only games you could play if you want to get the 10 hours-ish battery life would be the simple, low consuming games (like angry birds/cut rope)

Hopefully now after this presentation, the influx of games appear just like all the other years and I'm begging for the 5th professor Layton, I'm sure it can out in Japan about last February.

Not only that, but an iPad doesn't constantly communicate button presses and motion info to a base station and then recieve that info back again as well as game info and then show the images on screen.
Also the built in sensor bar LEDs will more than likely be constantly on too all the time the gamepads in use.

Yeah there's probably other factors to consider as to why the battery will not last as long as an iPad, but I guess it's something we will just have to live with.
I've never had a 5 hour gaming session before anyway so I can't see me starting now with the WiiU either.

The controller isn't running the game is it? Do stop and think before posting, the controller should last a lot longer than an iPad. Four to five hours from a 2 and a half hour charge is awful and can only be down to a cheap battery.

Yeah probably has got a cheaper battery, but surely running a game from within itself like an iPad would use alot less power than having to constantly communicate with the console to get all that information to put on the screen as the gamepad will?

But the ipad isn't in a constant state of communication with a another device, broadcasting all kind of video data back and forth.

Do stop and think before posting??? From the man who thought it was relevant to bring in an iPad comparison,

----

Back on topic, and to Nintendo, Project P-100 looks great. It's a quirky little title by the looks of it. I was hoping there would be an outside chance of a new Elebits/Eledees game for the Wii U, i could see the controller adding a new dynamic to that game.

Well it seems Nintendo messed up with the 3DS conference - no surprises - just showing already revealed games.... then after the conference ended, Reggie hilariously accidentally revealed to a journalist that Fire Emblem was coming to US....

Since Nintendo Direct, Facebook and Twitter, I don't think they care about E3 as much anymore....

Anyway, lovely off-screen footage of HD Pikmin and Mario.

Definetly not, running the CPU and GPU hard will consume more power then sending data back and forth via the radio (which you often do anyway when watching streaming video).

As for battery life. The iPad 2 gets 8 hours per charge playing high demand 3D games such as Infinity Blade 2 with less demand games giving up to 15 hours per charge.

I think the point here is that for many people 4 hours battery life will be a pain, It should be double that (or removable). I think they have used cheap battery like seen in cheaper tablets.
