Guarantee a British Gold Medal
Britain have a lot of Gold Medal chances. But here's your chance to put your forum 'money' were your mouth is.
If you had to bet everything you own on just one event for Britain to win a Gold, what would it be? We can see who won and who lost later on. My pick: Cycling - Women's Team Pursuit. |

Ben Ainslie's a pretty good bet. One of the Brownlee's will win the triathalon - could be either though If I were a betting man I'd look at the odds for Paula Radcliffe in the Marathon. If she has a smooth run in to the Games she'd be a fair gamble. |

You must be thinking of Jade Johnson. She was talented but injury prone - she even had to pull out of her stint on Strictly due to injury. She is competing this year but has jumped around 6.40 so far but the Olympic qualifying is 6.75 so she's some way off that.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Kerri-Ann Payne in the open water 10km yet. She must be one of our strongest chances.

Mark Cavendish in men's cycling road race and after today, at the Dauphin, Bradley Wiggins looks like a hot favourite for the time trial.

Dai Greene - 400mH. Since I'll be there watching him such a gamble would be so exciting. I would be jumping for joy if he won
or downing my prepared bottle of paracetamol if he lost!

Rowing: Men's Four.
We have a great record in the event and Jurgen sees it as a main focus for the team. I suspect they have been working out their optimum stylle and tactics recently and have still been winning (usual Jurgen pattern). They could be incredible, especially with a home crowd, in a few weeks. |

Not sure about Women's Road Cycling events - seems to be a bit of friction between Armitstead & Cooke & I don't think the TT course is best suited to Pooley.

I think that would be a shoe-in. |

Rowing - Women's Pair, Stanning & Glover. Like Grainger & Watkins they look unbeatable at the moment.
