I think Charnham was thinking about the original series, which was shown on Channel 5.

Nikita is a new show, it just ended its 2nd season this year.
I've only seen the pilot but I intend on catching up, but i'm sure another channel has the rights anyway Quote:

yes I know there is a new show called Nikita *sighs* I was simply making a reference to the fact that Channel 5 used to show the original series, way back when. *sighs* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E04E5K8ZllU |

Jesus christ I genuinely didn't believe that "Sing For Your Supper" was actually a real show.it's sounds like a parody of a gameshow. The desperate attempts to make it sound credible by some on here was good for a laugh though.
That's low for a Big Brother eviction aswelll. |

http://www.ukgameshows.com/ukgs/Night_Fever There was a time when singing was something you did for fun, not as part of a journey, or done in memory of your late auntie Gwen. Provided no one take it too seriously, it should be ok, I assume the "taking aim at X-Factor" comment is infact reflective of the shows humour. |

AU: Nine wins week + The Voice Winner Announced final numbers
Link: http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2012/06/...-5-nights.html
Nine, of course, reigned the ratings week with a 31.25% share. Fueled by The Voice finale, Hamish & Andy Euro Gap Year and The Block, this week was a surefire win for Nine. Whether that would continue next week is remained to be seen. Seven is runner-up with 28.3%, Ten takes third with 19.0%. ABC and SBS are fourth and fifth respectively with 16.2% and 5.3%. The Voice Finale: Winner Announced final ratings was at 3.23m, up from 3.1m in overnights. |

I loved the eviction last night. I think its foolish for anyone to think that BB can do better. BB is at a 1.4-1.6 overnight average and CBB at around a 2.4-2.6m overnight average. That's it. Its been on for 12 years, what do you expect? Also it's on the smallest main channel!
Sometimes I feel people say they don't like evictions any more, only because of the ratings. I bet you don't even watch BB. It's a brilliant series (besides lack of LF) and I think it's funny how many people are missing such a good series. Somehow how on C5 that doesn't seem to be the case, it now barely gets above the precceeding 6 days average. If the series is brilliant its ratings surely would be increasing due to word of mouth alone, there's also social media and finally there's video clips on You Tube & Facebook. These days the opportunity for a programme to lay its wares before the public is massive so any suggestion the public aren't aware of a programme such as BB is something I don't buy. It's probably become a programme that has a niche audience with high appreciation scores. |

Would the C5 of 5 years ago be looking to work with someone like Chris on a raft of new entertainment commissions? Would they be bidding for Premier League rights for that matter either? Absolutely not.
Whatever Evans had in the 90s, he hasn't got now. He's a completely overrated producer as his CV shows. |

Not fantastic for EastEnders on Friday, but BBC Three probably brought an extra 1 million viewers.

Well the C5 of 10 years ago worked with Chris...on yes, a raft of new entertainment commissions. It brought us 'The Terry and Gaby Show' (flop); 'Live with Chris Moyles' (flop); and 'Live with Christian o'Connell' (flop). At the same time the gameshow he sold to C4, 'Boys and Girls' was a mega-flop.
Whatever Evans had in the 90s, he hasn't got now. He's a completely overrated producer as his CV shows. Yep, he's been hopeless in TV since TFI. |

7.2m seems pretty respectable to me. ![]() Last night's match was in line with expectations after Friday's slightly underwhelmed. ITV will be pleased with a 10.3m peak to round off their tournament. They might as well head off home now... |

And one thing's for sure tonight - I can't see many folk lingering late and long in the garden tonight, or watching the match at a summer BBQ party at the pub or other public place.
At home, in a jumper, with the central heating on. Should deliver us a magic 20m peak at last. Surely? |

There's always the chance of extra time as well, which can add a couple of million to the peak.
Speaking of which, Channel 4's heavily trailed film premiere at 10pm tonight will be screwed if there is extra time. |

Weren't the last two basically the same commission? To be fair, whilst what you say is true, even Ratings Thread hero Cowell has had his fair share of flops. I admire Chris' creative spirit and I'm sure he will hit the spot soon.

As far as I know it has never been explained why Evans was foisted upon an unsuspecting public in an hour-long TOS on Fridays which traditionally rates as the lowest of the week and in which he consistently and rudely tries to steal the show from his comatose co-host.
