Why would producers want this? I'm sure they will choose lower ratings over higher ratings and a controversy that would finish the show for good. It's not worth it for them unless they WANT to kill BB.
Hook line & sinker. No doubt you will be at the forefront leading the moral mob ensuring that the guy gets what due to him. Well you may believe that is acceptable but I don't. A young lad is being used by a programme to generate controversy. Lets hope he is emotionally robust enough to cope with the bile that is going to be coming his way from folks who have done nothing more that watch a flippin tv show. One of these days these witch-hunts is going to lead to a very unfortunate incident.

Tuesday at 7
Wednesday at 8
Friday at 730

I expect tonights episode will rate higher

BBC3 added almost an extra million and was up on the usual also
It should be bringing viewers back and adding new ones for the hyped stories but sadly it is not, when it is shunted to BBC Two during the Olympics and ratings drop there can be no excuses for the poor showing. The world and its cat know EE will air in the same slots abet on Two.

BBC Three should not be counted, it is irrelevant as i'm pretty certain Corrie,Hollyoaks,Emmerdale and Doctors ratings are based on the initial airing.

Adding the three ratings smacks of desperation, if we are to include the other soaps additional showings then Corrie is still well in front.

For the record i don't even like Corrie so i'm certainly not their cheerleader.

Monday 25th June Overnights
BBC One
13:45- Wimbledon 2012: 1.38m (16.5%)

BBC Two
11:30- Wimbledon 2012: 570k (9.4%)
17:50- Wimbledon 2012: 1.17m (6.6%)
20:00- Today at Wimbledon: 1.01m (4.5%)
Interest will quickly build I'm sure but a slow start to Wimbledon this year, probably due to all the other sporting distractions at the moment and the fact that it started a day after England's miserable defeat in the football. The summer of sport is the gift that just keeps on giving but nobody has time to keep tabs on absolutely all of it.

Last year's figures for same slots...

BBC Two: 12:00-15:25: Wimbledon 2011: 724k (10.9%)
BBC Two: 17:50-21:00: Wimbledon 2011: 3.56m (16.7%) <--- note, Andy Murray was playing.

Whats the chances of it ending up on BBC ONE tonight with the ONE schedule dumped on TWO.

It will be interesting to see what BBC Two slots EastEnders gets during the Olympics. ITV will presumably still be running some hour-long Emmerdales then, so we might see 8pm for all episodes on BBC Two.

It will also be interesting to see how many episodes air on BBC Two. Some of the episodes might be played on BBC One before or after the Games.

EE is a different soap to CS due to the audience demo's. One in 8 EE viewers are willing to wait until 10pm for their fix. Of course the BBC3 EE rerun constantly outrates the ITV1+1 CS.

I am a viewer of both shows, CS since 1980...EE is pretty good right now.

No chance. They only do that for second week Murray matches. I'd suggest that if they knew they were going to do that, they'd include it in the schedules in the first place - the BBC must have a fair amount of say in when Murray plays - hence the reason why he always plays last usually on Centre Court (he'll probably not start his match til 6 now)

Exactly. There is EastEnders viewers that choose to watch the BBC showing at 10:00pm/Omnibus Friday Nights or of course when they want on I player

With Corrie i guess alot of it's older viewers tend to watch it LIVE and as we've seen in the past (other than xmas) Corrie peforms better than EastEnders on Bank Holidays (much of the time)

Overall EastEnders would be out on top and given the fact that it's always the most watched show on I Player each day it airs shows that viewers watch at a later time

All the other soaps you mentioned above has Poor Repeat ratings anyway (apart from Hollyoaks which rates well for the 'first look'

Not everyone is going to watch EastEnders there will be plenty of people out enjoying what could be a Hot August or even watching the Olympics on BBC1. The fact is EastEnders is performing well for this time of the year and has held up against the Euro (Despite it's Younger Demo)

I think you are overstating this somewhat and prove so with your last comment. Both must have, at the end of the day, pretty similar demos - otherwise why would the schedulers avoid putting them on at the same time, above all other programme clashes. I'd say the reason the bbc3 one is more popular is as much to do with bbc3s position on the epg as anything else.

Dear me, is it necessary for the Eastend cavalry to reappear for every mention of their beloved soap?

Let me know if/when Murray is out, so I can decide if he's Scottish or British

Both EastEnders and Corrie share some of the same viewers but EastEnders also has a younger Demo than Corrie which what Graham was saying. When EastEnders on BBC3 has aired at 11/11/midnight it's also rated pretty well

Yes I was just pointing out that EE has a captive evening audience, BBC3 is the 'youth' channel of choice, Family Guy, Snog Marry Avoid etc... EE is a natural fit for its viewers. How many teenagers are going to rush home for a soap at 7:30/8:00 when they can watch it after dark at 10pm?

There not and it's the younger viewers that are most likely going to catch up on BBC3 or on I Player. The fact that EastEnders repeat Highest ever figure of 1.8m shows that people will catch up at 10:00pm and there's a regular 700k that does this already.

Didn't the BBC1 Omnibus at 00:20 a couple of weeks ago get around 500-700k? I expect they were closer to 18 than 50

I was in Blackpool yesterday(caught EastEnders this afternoon) and it was a pretty warm and sunny evening. Plenty of people on the beach and at the fair ect so not everyone wants to rush in to watch a TV soap that they have millions of ways to catch up.
Had 7.4m been turning in November without a reason than maybe we could start to question why.

not sure its worth watching them film it, they do its so out of sequence, and with cuts and camera crews all over the place, the narratives better if you watch the finish product.

Im sure for some here, hell is EastEnders 5 days a week, hopefully I get into heaven, or I will end up with a TV with only ITV 1 and ITV 2.

EastEnders does get a much better boost from BBC 3, than Corrie does ITV 2, its just much better organised, and better for viewers like that.

Seeing as Pointless is off the air, can anyone provide ratings for Copycats, which is bizzarely occpupying a 5.10pm slot.

The stand out rating from last night for me has to be BB. That's a pretty poor rating considering the lack of competition last night. Even TWD isn't do that great this time round. It's probably been affected by FX's screening earlier this year. Some fairly decent soap ratings last night and the share for the first Corrie is very strong. Revenge seems to be holding up very well too.

I assume its an attempt by the BBC to further confuse viewers into thinking it is actually being presented by Ant and Dec.

Week 28 (w/c Saturday 7th July) Update

Tyson Fury boxing returns to Channel 5 on Saturday 7th July at 10pm as he takes on Vinny Maddalone.

Channel 4's latest series on the traveller community Thelma's Gypsy Girls starts Sunday 8th July at 9pm.

On ITV1, series 2 of Case Sensitive starts Sunday 8th July at 9pm. Who Wants to be a Millionaire returns Monday 9th July at 9pm and continues the next two nights. Superstar: Auditions airs Wednesday 11th July at 8pm. Britain's Favourite Number One airs Thursday 12th July at 9pm. Super Tiny Animals is back Friday 13th July at 9pm.

Nothing caught my eye in the BBC schedules this week, except Volcano Live which airs Monday to Thursday at 8pm on BBC Two.

If Superstars is a hit, what happens next year? Do Itv have another Andrew Lloyd Webber show with a new name or should they keep the Superstars branding? Superstars is quite a good name for a tv show, I say they keep it.

Lack of competiton? Did you see what Channel4 were showing something about inmates. Prisons and Inmates = ratings, that took away viewers from BigBrother. Also it takes more than 1 day to recover from a low ratings drop as a consequence of England match, look at how bad Emmerdale rated yesterday under 7million aganist just the one show.
