A peak audience of 5.6 million viewers (5.3m ave) (inc +1) watched last night's Lewis on @ITV1.”

Pretty decent figure there.

Very good for Lewis, slightly up on last week.

1.42M for BB. Not sure if that's with +1 but even so. We are back to BB12 levels

Big Brother went down 46 percent to 1.42m last night excluding plus 1. The plus 1 audience was less than 100k.

Considering that Lewis was against EE for an hour it held up a lot better than I thought it would. The Corrie lead-in will have helped (I bet the previous episodes would have got about 6m with the 7-8m lead-in instead of the 3m lead-in it had).

EE did pretty badly in the 8pm hour. That's only about a million more than Corrie had against 15m competition the other night. It didn't seem to boost DIY SOS much either - that got 4.2m at 9pm.

That's a shame, i think we have to accept that this is the level for Big Brother now.

This was the first highlights show, which is usually one of the highest highlight show ratings of the series, it will probably drop more.

Hence the extra Celeb version. Will the proper version survive?

Exactly. It would need to get around 1.5m nightly to match BB12s 1.7m official rating. So with +1 it would have been 1.5m last night, it's going to have to stay there for 3 months to match it! Oh dear.

I knew that being on at 10pm might mean a more of a drop than usual but I thought it would get at least 1.8m, 1.4m is a 52% drop isn't it?

I think Big Brother will dip below a million over its run this year. It really is a very tired format.
But if it's getting decent young demos then I suppose C5 will be ok with it.

Possibly, it did dip below 1m during BB10 Saturdays though. CBB will do better, that's a given.

I don't think it will get much more than January if it starts the night after a flop main series. Especially if the final gets less than 2 million.

Yeah you have a point. Oh well. We need to expect it now.

Not bad for EE out of day and up against Lewis.

Such a shame ITV1 chose to deploy Lewis tactically, and so late in the TV year, bringing in such mediocre figures. I suspect it has run its course now, hence being graveyarded - although we do still have a series of Young Morse (aka "Inspector Morse Gently") to look forward to...

Ouch for Big Brother, if last years first highlights show got 1.4m on a Saturday, I dread to think how low it will be by the weekend! I'd be amazed if this isn't the last regular run in its present form.

For a tedious clapped-out show watched by a small audience, Big Brother gets a disproportionate amount of posts on here...

When does it finish, out of interest?

Still the highest show for Channel 5, let's not forget despite it's low ratings. Also CBB is still massive.

1.52m is the higher end of what it got in BB12, but wish it could go higher.

DS credit DS:BB as part of the reason for the site being as big as it is today. BB has the biggest DS following of any show, even during BB12 the site was crashing, despite this forum being hosted on more servers than probably all other UK forums.

I can actually seeing it get a few hundred thousand less. Hope they've getting good celebrities (by BB standards).
