I think it will be.

I showed the first two episodes to my folks, they were huge fans in the day and they absolutely loved it.

They were especially pleased that John Ross turned out every bit like his father.

That's strange because Eastenders ran 20:01-20:59 according to the Attentional timings, so it wouldn't have been tape checked. Maybe 8m is the peak and 7.38m is the average.

Who thought up that programme name?”

12Yard. The company behind BBC's In It to Win It, Who Dares Wins, Eggheads, Perfection and ITV's The Colour of Money and Holding Out for a Hero.

ITV have certainly got very confused over the schedules tonight. This might effect ratings if people have set recordings.

Even though the fact that BBC were showing the football tonight and ITV on Friday had long since been revealed on this thread, the Sky EPG still showed both channels showing it tonight and neither on Friday. It was like that most of last night!

As of now, nearly 24 hours later, the BBC one is right but the ITV one still shows Emmerdale as on at 6.50 followed by the football tonight.

And at the end of the local news programmes last night the linking presenter actually advised that there was a revised programme tonight because ITV were showing the football and that Emmerdale was on at 6.50 tonight because of that.

Even I am now confused. So I dread to think what many of tonights ITV viewers or those who have set tonights viewing based on the Sky EPG will be.

I guess they will sort it before 6.50 - though that is fast approaching. But it is pretty shambolic and might not be in time for some.

Does the Sky EPG have tonight's extra One Show in the schedule, with BBC One's football coverage starting at 7.30pm?

Well if the ITV Network Centre doesn't know what's happening there's little hope for the poor viewer.

Yes, it does.

On 103 the EPG is still showing Emmerdale followed by the football on ITV....though ITV HD on 178 is actually now correct.

If they do not correct it non HD viewers even if they have 5 minutes padding set will miss the end of Emmerdale and not be happy....

In every tournament since then, it's been the Beeb alone.”

I'd have thought they'd have gone for a simulcast of the semi-final this time, especially as they don't get either. Even though it would rate relatively low it would probably be good for 4m or so and more attractive to advertisers than the detective drama vs an England game.

LOL - though I wouldn't be surprised if someone gets sacked for that as can't see it being approved by those close to the case.

The Glass House though is probably one of the most blatant rip offs of the last few years - the similarities are pretty much endless and they use exactly the same kind of filler shots as BBUSA, the same diary room type entries narrating the episode and similar challenges and basically anything not taken from BBUSA is pretty much taken from BBUK or other versions.

It's also worth noting that Les Moonves, head of CBS, is married to Julie Chen, presenter of Big Brother.

Not sure if this has been posted, but this was the order of choices after the BBC won the coin toss:

1st choice: BBC - Quarter Final First Pick
2nd choice: ITV - England vs France
3rd choice: BBC - England vs Sweden
4th choice: ITV - England vs Ukraine
5th choice: BBC - Semi Final First Pick
6th choice: ITV - Republic of Ireland vs Spain
7th choice: BBC - Semi Final Second Pick

Fair to say ITV's decision to broadcast Ireland vs Spain over the second semi final was daft.
Brekkie

I'm quite surprised though there isn't a covenant in the picking process though that basically ensures either broadcast only has half of the games in each round - or that ITV didn't strike a deal which would let the BBC have both semi finals in return for exclusive coverage of the final, but say in either round should England feature the other can simulcast.

I suspect the ITV team will be going home before the final as they really have the weaker hand now.

As for last night. So BB is now posting worse figures than last year? 1.3m isn't really good enough. There was a reason Channel 4 axed it, and that wasn't for Channel 5 to
resurrect so soon after its demise. The problem is, the damage with BB has already been done, and was done a long time ago. Don't get me wrong, in its heyday BB was good viewing. But now the sad news is that nobody really cares. I never hear anyone talking about it and its never going to bring back those viewers now.

As for the soaps. I was expecting Corrie to be top tbh, and the all the ratings are abit underwhelming considering no football last night and that the weather is very poor. I think Emmerdale could be heading for some low numbers again over the next few days. Friday it starts at 18.50 and Sunday at 19.00. Not holding out much hope with those times/slots.

Put the champers back on ice.

1.33m exc. +1 / 1.42m inc. +1. Equivalent show last year: 1.36m.

One highlights show last week timeshifted to 2m.
