Es to Norway at present with various NRKs at the bottom of the band. I may also have had BBC Radio 2 via Bressay on 88.3 earlier as it was behaving just like an Es signal and appeared just after NRK P2 had faded out.

Belarus Ukrain on R1 R2 and R3 this afternoon. On FM heard Norway Sweden Italy France Algeria Belarus Russian and Ukrain. Best afternoon of the season so far
Unfortunately I missed most of this as the bulk of it happened whilst I was at work. It certainly looks like the best Sporadic E opening of the season so far, judging from the huge amount of loggings on FMLIST (2501 just for today as I type).
I did manage to catch a brief bit of Portugal on the car radio as I arrived at work and then also some Croatians & Italians earlier this evening including HRT HR 1 on 87.7, 87.9 and 90.2 with the news in English.
I had several NRK variants this afternoon all with RDS on the car radio. P1, P3, NRK M, NRK TRL etc, here on the east coast of Lincs. All of the signals were below 94 in the band. P3 was received for about 30 mins during a 15 miles trip.

Yes I was getting Ukraine on R1 yesterday morning. I think they finish on band 1 next year.

It was June last year when I last remember a strong and pro longed tropo. It seems like tropos are becoming a thing of the past.
Warm humid air coming in from the east over the next few days. Might be worth listening out for tropo openings especially on the east and southeast coasts of the UK.

I have to agree with you, I remember back in the late 70's when we had a massive tropo lift for well over a fortnight, the band was chock-a-block with Continental stations. I had AFN from SHAPE in Belgium here in London continuously for two weeks (with only the odd QSB dip), this was just on the telescopic aerial on my Grundig portable.
