Some more clips from the 23rd of May, plus a couple of tropo+Es clips from the 27th:

https://app.box.com/s/tqrm89rfu14rf04sru89qogxqo4yn7eq - unid Moroccan on 93.7, maybe Radio 2M or SNRT Tetuoan?

https://app.box.com/s/24hgzjn64kqmghrb0qx5rqtq7t7jixom - 87.9 SNRT Inter with English programming

https://app.box.com/s/z8xnhafdlyt1gp26z95c3194z1ijvjgi 107.7 unid Spanish

https://app.box.com/s/ohr19o1wfczakjkts0yk9sikk5ixpi22 102.5 AFN Rota

https://app.box.com/s/o57q9h58row0iyupyni66y6prrqvbatd 103.5 SNRT Quran unlisted site. Anyone know more? In the clip there is a YL reading out towns and frequencies. We need an Arabic speaker to hear this

https://app.box.com/s/fqite1tn2r0nznrga5xdbr4ke7811yep 88.3 another unlisted SNRT Quran tx

https://app.box.com/s/nlji76ov30qo50vqzpmifmetplnlsjmu 91.4 unid French Moroccan. Any ideas?

https://app.box.com/s/464dkkumeznzp05gg2fldna2xs740xdt 87.9 unid Greek with a pop station also, probably Italian. Any ideas on the Greek please (maybe NERIT 1?)

https://app.box.com/s/d9xpss5uqdywibvbr52kl4i132gyly9q 89.8 another unid Greek, sounded similar to NERIT 1's web stream when I checked shortly afterwards, but I'm not sure to be honest

https://app.box.com/s/b3pmwh0t1y4czsd4hzo9aknuzu6zccca 89.0 Radio Drininoupoli pt 1. This station was in on & off for about an hour and was frequently the only Es signal on the band. Very odd.

https://app.box.com/s/dx45c7m2l85ejm98f16duy0pp5nheecr 89.0 Radio Drininoupoli pt 2

https://app.box.com/s/5ks1ayjdxghlbmbeg7roab3wkr8ougcv - 95.7 France Culture, Toulouse/Pic du Midi via tropo. Some Portuguese Es tries to push it out of the way towards the end of the recording

https://app.box.com/s/ppohebv50dea07hofp2o2h5ooppnovg0 87.9 France Inter Toulouse/Pic du Midi (tropo) and Spanish via Es (OMR FM Valencia)

Any help with the UNIDs much appreciated.

Was the signal behaving like an Es signal or more like tropo?”

It was more like Tropo Nick.

Yes it could have been Toulouse then although a DXer friend in Skegness tried for it and couldn't hear any sign of it.

Very interesting. Town 102 causes much more interference to adjacent channels (101.9 and 102.1) than any other station. I don't know why that is, it's either because their modulation is particularly wideband, or is it because Town 102's audio is very loud. I would guess the latter. When I was in Stowmarket yesterday, very few spots could receive general scatter from Studio Brussel on 102.1 as all I could hear was Town 102! Grrrr! I dunno why they picked 102.0, as Ipswich is a stunning place for continental reception and there are continentals on 101.9 (Sky Radio) and 102.1 (Studio Brussel and Radio 538). Unless the listeners want to get interfered with by Dutch stations which may take over when there is tropo even in Ipswich.
When I was in Stowmarket, Town 102 wasn't particularly strong at the time, and the Ford car radio I was using is very selective, so selective that tropo signals can be heard in Norwich on 100 kHz adjacent frequencies to Tacolneston and SHC (both very strong in Norwich). It is possibly more selective than the XDR-F1HD. That just shows how much of a problem Town 102 is for Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex DXers.

Alex, where is the Studio Brussel transmitter on 102.1 and what power is it? Wiki just gives a general area of West Flanders.

I have also noticed an enhancement here. Much of northern France is above average: Caen and Rennes have been RDSing. I noticed cross Channel signals were up when I got home from work.

French tropo here too with a bit of Germany for good measure. So far:

Bourges
Niort
Parthenay
Clermont-Ferrand
Lyon Mont-Pilat
Hornisgrinde

Signals on those are weak. Of course, the usual cross-Channel sites are stronger.

It's marginal but there have been some weak German signals this evening:

93.0 SWR 2
100.5 WDR 4
101.1 SWR 3
104.3 hr4
105.6 SWR 4 RP

They are coming and going at various times.

Wow. No posts about last night. A station playing Jazz and DLF, from Germany, Radios 2 and 3 from the Netherlands, 100% NL and the station that broadcasts near 101 also received here. The first station mentioned wasn'tt easy to pick up due to a pirate called Club Asia.

I don't use any special equiipment such as extended arials. Just a normal radio. This was all between 1 and 3. I don't know if it was earlier because I didn't bbother turning on the radio and wasn't expecting this.

Yes, Germany and Holland heard here today and last night, including Aurich, Smilde (with RDS), and Heide (fighting with Sutton Coldfield on 90.5 at around 22.30 last night!).

I'm also using ordinary radios.

I don't think the tropo across the North Sea has been reaching here although to be honest I haven't really checked much. I'm waiting for another decent E-skip opening. I missed the big one on Tuesday because, yes, you guessed it, it had all dropped out by the time I got home from work.

Tonight, stations I don't recall ever receiving. Q Music only dutch station I can get. Tonight. DLF on 101.8 (last night it was around 107, and other German stations.

98.1 NDR2
103.1 FFN.

NDR2 had a report on Germany's Womens World Cup match against Norway. The reporter was a woman and the report was lengthy.

The three German stations are very quiet.

Here I gett BBC Radio 2 on 89.3. Tonight I can also receive it on 88.5 and 90.2. I mention these two frequencies because on both there is a very slight delay. I noticed the same with the other BBC national stations on the equivalent frequencies, but not Classic FM.

The German stations have faded away. I think FFN stayed the longest.
